There needs to be another category to differentiate between the likes of Joshua and Chisora. Joshua has proven he can lose to genuinely mediocre opposition but there's no way he would have racked up as many losses had he been in Chisora's shoes. Then there needs to be another category between the likes of Chisora and Allen. Man, he sucked.

I didn't buy the Joshua hype but if someone told me that Joshua's best and only top level (arguably, starting to feel it wasn't that good) victory would be Klitschko I wouldn't have believed you. He may in truth only be contender level, a solid fringe guy.

Straight talking as always, Jim. And on point to boot.

Hearns junior has conditioned an entire generation of boxing fans to parrot his boxing narratives by cynical deployment of deep state pattern repetition of certain key words and phrases via his relentless media presence.

He has taken the famous quote from his mentor Joseph Goebbels “If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it.” and remorselessly weaponised it against the unsuspecting casual boxing fan.

according to a 2021 study by the associated press digital media research dept, Hearns junior had uttered the phrase “Molina, takam, pulev, povetkin, Martin, Parker, whyteleafe, koogs” no less than 13,250 times over a three year period.

That’s 4,417 times a year, or 87 times a week, every week, FOR THREE YEARS.

The result was the collective public insanity (also known as mass formation psychosis) we witnessed from boxing fans around Antony Joshua’s career where he was without a hint of irony successfully likened to the great Muhammad Ali by knocking over a load of bin men and going life and death with a retired 41 year old legend.

The rest of Goebells quote puts the Joshua character arc into some context, and indeed Hearns bizarre handling of the BENNE saga:

“The lie can be maintained only for such time as the promoter can shield the people from the political, economic and/or ppv consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the promoter to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the promoter.”

They were lining Allen up for Povetkin if he beat Price.

The quality of Box Office events went rapidly down hill as Hearn got more comfy in his chair, culminating in crap like Whyte v Rivas and Parker v Chisora being PPV.

The final paragraph is why @DramaShow is being interviewed for the Head of Social Media at Matchroom.

He has been relentless on here promoting and defending the indefensible at times.

thanks Jim that means a lot coming from a real one. Truth be told I don’t have a job.

I walked away from a “successful” career last year to pursue my dream of becoming a mindset coach and speaker on human potential. I was well paid and unfulfilled, my monthly salary had become a millstone.

when my employer threatened to sack me if I didn’t inject myself with an experimental mRNA vaccine as part of the greatest mass conformity psyop in modern memory, they made my decision easy so I walked away, through the terror barrier and stepped into the unknown.

now I work as a mindset coach to people who are ready to step into their own potential, ready to choose faith over fear and find out just how far they can go. As Henry Ford famously said “if you believe you can, or believe you can’t; you’re probably right.”

I believe he was right, Jim.

Spot on. It’s been common knowledge on here for nearly ten years that certain promoters who value control of the narrative have invested on an online “presence”. Don’t think you were on here back then Beale but you’re up to speed no doubt.

Yep Hearns would have sold the fck out of that until Allen was the bookies favourite. Repetition and fear are the media’s only tools of manipulation.

Sky are more to blame than Matchroom for that. They were going to put Taylor Catterall II on PPV before it got cancelled. The first was a terrible fight and only remotely interesting since Catterall was doing better than people expected.

They were also going to put Riakporhe Okolie on PPV before Okolie lost to Billam-Smith.

Anyway the last page or two has drifted away from the thread topic. Please get back on topic everyone.

Last year Hearn was putting on a non-title catchweight fight between 2 average fighters on DAZN PPV. That wasn’t Sky’s fault.

I think you must be trolling. Eubank Benn was sold out in less than 10 minutes and was the highest grossing event at the O2 at the time after ticket sales. It would have done huge PPV numbers.

Yeah I don’t understand the appeal in paying to watch the likes of Chisora and Whyte, Although I guess in a way you can’t actually blame Hearn for it, if people are buying it to make it viable then they are going to make it ppv.
The only way we as customers can influence this is by not buying it, however that was obviously not the case.

I don’t believe it was the highest grossing event in o2 history, complete BS. Just because they are saying it was, spookily enough doesn’t mean it’s true.

Reference it doing huge numbers - highly unlikely because the average sports fan in the UK doesn’t have DAZN or has ever heard of it.

Just an add on to this - about 10 of my mates at the cricket last week love pretty much every sport going and have an ok knowledge of boxing and have their favourite boxers. They have all bought PPV on either Sky or BT at some point during the last 18 months for example. None of them had ever heard of DAZN (which is a shame, but hey ho).
