I would love to see AJ vs Wilder, whatever their wins/losses.

I regard as AJ as the real deal, a great fighter with more to learn. Changing his style to beat Ruiz showed skill.
Wilder is a good fighter, you dont hold a belt for so long for nothing at all.

One thing is for sure, it would be an exciting fight and it should be made!!!

I think Fury is contractually obliged to step back down to D level for his next fight

I'm not nearly as harsh a critic as yourself. Actually, I've always rooted for him to do well, so that Fury would have a contemporary rival to define himself by. But I grow weary of hearing him and Hearn talk about the big fights while not participating in the big fights. Ergo, I endorse your opening gambit until such time as Joshua and Hearn cut the crap and step up. It's time for them to make something happen, maybe even stop the control-freakery and make some concessions if need be, or else pipe way, way down.

I think once Hearn conceded 50/50 that argument doesnt hold so much water. AJ has done bigger figures and has unified 3 of 4 titles. If he's offering 50/50 then he's conceded as much as anyone could reasonably expect.

I admire him for saying that. It shows he has the obsession and dedication to actually have a great resume, giving the fans what we want, none of this, me fights 2 more times B's. I swear he has the compulsion and the pedigree to achieve atmost: a win at a time!

Dubois has to prove himself against Joyce first, he`s nowhere near ready yet.

They haven't negotiated. Hearn loves to talk and to present himself as a paragon of nobility and reason while actually making an impediment of himself; let's see what happens and what caveats he pulls out when they come to the table.

BTW, you know better than to pull the "unified three of four titles" spiel (and spiel is all it is). We all know where those titles came from and why Joshua has them.

This fight is massive because both men are stars. Fury just splattered Joshua's doubter on a high profile US PPV (which also did good UK box office numbers considering the hour of the morning) and reaffirmed his kingship to all but the most ardent and unreasonable of detractors. A 50/50 split is just plain and basic common sense.

Let us see what the craven Hearn pulls out of his butt once Fury is free to negotiate. Anything Eddie says prior to then is just Hearnian hot air.

Whatever the history, to the casual punter, one guy has three belts, the other one. The marketing will focus on 'undisputed' and 3/4 of that value is brought by Joshua. Fury has his WBC, lineal, Ring and 'never lost them in the ring' claim which plays better with more engaged fans so each man has done his part.

I think the 50/50 quote is more than hot air but a signal of wanting to business. Ironically Coronavirus may be helpful. There's unlikely to be much money around in the next couple of years, but there will be appetite for distraction. Hearn and Arum may think it better to strike early rather than messing around. Of course there will be posturing around networks, billing, venues, judges etc. I don't think it will stop it happening. A lot of people will be eager to earn.

Joshua having a hold on three plastic straps is neither here nor there. The casual fan wants to see one champion, he can't even process the idea of multiple world titles to begin with.

So it wouldn't really be a concession, more a matter of common sense.

Joshua has been a bigger box office deal than Fury. But now Fury is legitimate box office. And he has something Joshua wants, besides. Something he needs, for that matter, given that his public will start demanding he fight Fury.

We're talking about a weasel's weasel, so you'll have to pardon me if I reserve the right to remain cynical until his charge signs on the dotted line.

Tyson has walked Joshua through the process of stepping up to the plate. Now let's see Anthony attempt to emulate his big bro.

I agree but this is how I see it going at a guess as it’ll be over the next 3 years and us brits love having a big pay day domestic retirement clash.

obviously the likes of Hgrovic, Dubois are very beatable and those could well be kabayal or yoko instead

Joshua doesn't need Wilder any more. It'd be a nice fight to see sometime down the road, but not if Wilder is going to act like a diva and make all sorts of unreasonable demands, which I'm sure he will. Right now I'd put the fight on a similar level to Joshua vs Whyte, maybe a touch higher, but a far cry from when both men were undefeated.

As for Ruiz, I don't see it as the worst thing in the world not to have KOed him. Ruiz has one of the best chins in the division alongside Parker and he was comprehensively outboxed by Joshua in a fight in which a ton of people were saying Ruiz had his number
