This will be interesting Are we gonna see some smack talk? Maybe he should save it for the press conferences with Fury.
Fury was on that chat show 2 or 3 months ago and Ross said he`d beat AJ, so lets see what Ross has to say in front of AJ now?
lol at that ***** line by Alan Carr (Cab driver asked Alan Carr who was in Vegas are you here for *****?) (Carr is gay) and Joshua was laughing.
Typical wooden performance from AJ. Tried to have some playful banter about Fury but it came across embarrassing for all concerned.
You can hear him trying really hard to come across as calm, laid back, articulate and intelligent but "the streets" keep pulling him back, it's like when you hear Essex mugs trying to sound clever by accentuating their T's but they try too hard and it doesn't sound natural. Be Yourself. Stay True. Stay Humble ©
He's always terrible in those situations. He needs media training more than most boxers, but just can't quite pull off being natural when out of his element like that. It was exactly the same on Graham Norton.
Too good. It's the tone in which he speaks that brings the whole package together in that really corny way. The only thing that rivals it, and maybe beats it for me, is Anthony Yarde's constant licking of his lips during interviews. Unbearably cringeworthy. Both try so hard to come across a certain way. It's so unnecessary. They are like parodies or spoofs with the whole crowd being in on it. The mugths as Jurgen puts it.
Eh Day gives them their character narrative to follow with full Matchroom Media Training behind it. Connor Benn's recent post fight interview the latest character narrative born in the Matchroom Media Maternity Unit.
Why is it that you think the mugths buy into it so much, though? What is it about the Matchroom Media Maternity Unit that is so effective? Matchroom has become like a football team to the mugths.
It is like a football team. The marketing from Matchroom has been genius tbh, they’ve really capitalised on the football, jack the lad, pub geezer market. I’ve spoken about the LinkedIn Matchroom page before and it’s a classic example where you have everyday blokes heralding **** poor cards as something special. You have mugths on that page making a comment and then actually addressing Hearn in their post! Genuinely no joke, have a look at their recent updates and you’ll see clowns make posts like “what a great card Eddie” and “well done Ed, delivering again” when the post has been made by the Matchroom page and not even Hearn! Hearn has marketed himself as one of the lads and it’s been key to Matchroom’s success. I said last year as well that the popularity of the Eddie Hearn clips on the “No Context Hearn” twitter page totally amplified his popularity amongst total non-boxing fans.
