Absolutely. It really is a fascinating sociological and commercial marketing case study. It would be the ultimate expose book. Unfortunately, most of what happens in the commercial arena never comes to light, but for me this one in particular has a real comedic tinge to it. I love the LinkedIn reference. LinkedIn is just the absolute most toxic example of cynicism on the internet. I'm not surprised to hear that there's quite a bit of brown-nosing on there.
He was gutted when The Rock was getting attention for his physique and it wasn’t all about him. You could tell he was pissed off that Ross may have wanted Fury to win against him. He laughed it off but it was an “i’m only serious” moment. He’s an arse hole and tries so hard to come across as a lovely man. It’s bad enough in boxing circles but on this stuff it’s worse.
Didn't watch the interview and have no intention of doing so. AJ is normally fake in interviews but those chat shows are as scripted as a soap opera so there won't be a single instance of real emotion, opinion or insight into what AJ is really feeling and thinking about the Fury fight.
Jonathan Ross: AJ, what's happening, how are you big man? AJ: You know. Positivity is a mindset. What I'm feeling right now is not important. What's important is, that we, as humans, embrace each other and grow as people. You know the energy right now in this building, all the people on this set, we can combine this and become something powerful. Jonathan Ross: Ok....
No he was actually more relaxed and confident than Fury was when he was on the show several months back
To be fair Ross was saying to Fury that he was a clear favourite to beat AJ and that he was surprised that AJ boxed so well v Pulev.
He was copying his dad, Nigel was a right geezer from a rough area, his brother was killed by racists and he was in the British army but Conor benifited from his dad`s wealth made from boxing, he didn`t have to grow up in an area like ilford.
No way! Fury wasn`t that good on Jonathon Ross and most boxers would be dreadful on that show, Nigel Benn ws the master at that stuff, completely at ease.
Honestly can't tell if that's a parody or not, if not then it's more of AJ's fake stay humble nonsense, if it's a parody then bravo sir.
Just watched the Johnathan Ross segment on YouTube. Why does AJ speak that way? He doesn’t come across well at all. If he was just himself he’d come across a lot better. full disclaimer: I want AJ to Poleaxe Tyson
Because its all vetted and semi scripted. The questions would have been sent out week ago to work on. AJ isnt a performer in this regards so will always struggle. Its why Fury comes across better in situations like this.
