Not a big fan of AJ as it stands, I find all that "Stay Hungry, Stay Humble", pretty tedious and cringe worthy, but if this is true then good on him. Nothing wrong with showing a bit of ambition and I hope it works out for him.
:good He is putting on an act, simple. This scenario with AJ & the Hearns reminds me of Maloney & Lennox. And we all saw how that worked out...
They better not let a criminal in the country. Thankfully the U.S legal system isn't as soft as the uk. Had he done than that sh!t over in certain states he'd be lucky to escape a life sentence rather than worrying about some ankle tag.
His drug street background makes him business savvy, so don't let the nice guy image fool you, he is still a thug at heart.
It would be interesting to know what matchroom are paying AJ at this point in his career. He is a olympic gold medalist and an heavyweight, he is already main event calibre If matchroom are only paying him £50-125k a fight I would run a mile at this point he is worth atleast £500k+ a fight even right now. If he was promoting himself he could sell out a 10-12k arena easily just for himself at an average of £80 a pop and sell his services to SKY do the maths alot more money. Lennox Lewis was making millions even before he won the world title in early 90's
He ll struggle to get into the states but if he got a major usa promoter behind him or haymon someone like that then they would maybe stand a chance but it wouldn't happen until or if he becomes a world champion. If his team could go to a court over there and show that him working there could bring huge amounts for the economy (with Brits flying over etc) then I reckon they would let him in. It's not like he's the average joe and it's not like he's wanting to emigrate there. Like I say he won't stand a chance until he's at the top
