The only reason Wilder fought Duhaupaus is because Povetkin wanted more time , wanted a tune-up against Wack and most likely wanted more time to pump the juice out of his system.
Duhaupaus turned out to be a pretty good defence and ive always wanted to see Joshua against him.
But this isn't me making a case for Wilder having a good record. You'e wandered off the beaten track. The fact is its a lot better than Joshua's. You argued is was practically the same , which has since been proved as a tall tale. So that's been stetted now , its time to move on.

And one last thing. Wilders record isn't that bad either. Everybody loves Kong. His resume is thinner than Wilders. And I only ever criticised Wlad and the disgraceful manner in which he 'fights' . A number of those guys Wilder beat woulda been beaten in a horrible cheat infested grappling contest against Wlad. Wilder beat everybody he faced cleanly and respectfully.

 

People who constantly refer to their opinions as "facts" tend to be very narcissistic and usually not very intelligent, you have an extremely warp definition of 'fact' -


Povetkin fought Wach because chicken Wilder's team wouldn't negotiate with him and he didn't want to sit and collect rust. No excuse for Wilders team disgracefully waiting until the very last minute before reeling an opponent in. This has become a pattern for Wilder, and there's a reason for that. Instead of fighting Arreola they could have fought a better opponent at a slightly later date, but instead they settle on a fat washed up guy who's more or less a journeyman at this point.

Kong has a thinner resume than Wilder sure, but he has less fights and his holding a major title - that's the difference. That said his individual win over Jennings>>>> anything on Wilders resume. When he knocks out Scott in a couple of weeks there's not going to be a whole lot between them.

That was for his 3rd defence, against Szpilka. Wilder's second title defence was scheduled almost two months before Povetkin was scheduled to fight Wach.

Yeah Povetkin should have fought Wilder right after Wach, makes sense. In that context in makes sense, but that wasn't for Duhaupas so moot point.
