Why does he need a 3-month camp to get ready for this Bob Dylan fella?

Seriously, how is it that on one hand his supporters pump Tony Josh up like he's some kind of King Kong ... yet instead of seeking out contenders he's taking a third of the year to get ready for a fight against some domestic nobody who has nothing on his resume to make us care.

Prediction: Joshua knocks out Bobby Dylan, gets praised as the second coming of Godzilla, and Dylan ends up being the next Tom Dallas or A-Force ... and no one ever points out that this win is meaningless.

Whyte should have been Joshua's opponent this month, and a real contender for later in the year. Hopefully Joshua will start to face real contenders next year. Up until Cornish and Whyte, I'd been impressed with his comparatively quick matchmaking.

    Ha!

I'm a huge fan of Bob's. (The actual Bob, not Mr. Whyte)

I would have thought that Eddie may have tried to salvage the Brook card, by adding AJ to it in a possible 8-10 rounder.

It appears from this matchmaking that it's Joshua who's like a rolling stone.

After feasting on some fast-food Cornish hen, now AJ's handlers want to give him a folk concert with Mr. Dylan.

Methinks they have seen some things in the gym that the public haven't, and have scaled young Tony back to domestic squabbles.

What exactly are you saying? That he should have taken less than 3 months to fight an undefeated top 100 fighter? This will be his 5th fight this year. If anything he's fighting perhaps even more frequently than he should.

    I'm not sure.

    I think he's doing okay.

I'm reserving judgement though. I think too many people, especially on here, are getting carried away with his progress.

    Hello mate, how's things?

I'm a big fan of Bob Dylan too. What are you favourite songs and albums of his?

it looks like his going slow because his steamrolling everyone but ya they could move him faster and Cornish was a joke

at least his competiion is better than wilders, it took wilder 5+ years to get to that level

Cornish fight was a waste of time and I said so before the fight.

He should have been fighting Whyte in the slot he fought Cornish in.

Other than inflating his record, there really is no good reason.

Whyte is a genuine test- Whyte knocks Joshua down in the amateurs and gets the better of him...so its a good test for him

Eddie learned from his Dad-milk the public and throw them a bone once a year. This AJ matchmaking is getting a bit old now, though.

While Wilder's can crushing means something

It's a domestic matchup against a fellow undefeated prospect, and I'm sure AJ won't have to buy him off to pull a dive job like Wilder did with Scott.

Its clear you know very little about the British boxing scene, Joshua and Whyte have beaten a very similar level of opposition, yes AJ has slightly better resume but not by much. Dillian is no mug and will probably go on to fight at world level in the future.

Nobody can really complain about Joshua,s level of opposition to date in his short career. I would love to see him get rushed on cuz i think he is good enough, only worry being how many rounds he is getting under his belt. Some are saying hes ready now, some are saying hes a big KO waiting to happen. What ever they think he is a 14 fight pro.

He wants to win belts in the nice traditional order and he wants to shut the mouth of a man who has been dogging him on Twitter and whatnot for a good while about how he did him in the Ams. He wants this fight, he wants to shut Whyte up.

Next year, maybe 18 months, if he hasnt been beaten he will be where ppl feel he belongs and he wont be shy about facing anybody and neither will his management.

He wont fight any real contenders.
Look how far Fury and Wilder has got without facing fellow contenders.

AJ should be fighting every month, but Fast car Eddie is milking the PPV.
