I'm sorry, would this be during the same fight where the one time he got in close Ruiz started to give him the business, so he clenched and returned to the "stay outside & jab" routine?

Couldn’t have been said better.. Again as a boxing fan I respect that he stuck to his game plan and got the victory. But AJ know to make these statements like this when he was terrified of a repeat.. Fury felt Wilder want on his level and went for the kill, Lennox was embarrassed after being KO’d cold and he return the favor against Rahman.. AJ was satisfied jabbing with occasional hooks and even when Andy looked finished he was to afraid to go for the kill.. Not to mention the condition Andy was in for the rematch he was there for the taking..

Yeah, we saw whap happened durning the first fight when he tried that.
His best offence comes from mid and close range, that would have played right into Andy's hands, who has the superior handspeed (see their first fight).

Too many people seem to have the idea that AJ will forever be too gun shy and will box and move from now on. I highly doubt it. He’s still a KO artist and will get plenty of KO’s in the future. Remember that those shots AJ was landing on Ruiz would have rocked or dropped most heavyweights and would lead to a stoppage. That shot that cut Ruiz in the first round would have no doubt sent Wilder into another dimension.

Joshua boxed smartly and carefully, for boxing fans maybe not very watchable but it was effective boxing, he kept Ruiz at a distance even though maybe he should have taken a little more risk, of course Joshua is able to knock out everyone and so Ruiz but he wanted just victory...

It's like your buddy begging to bang the fat friend near closing time, and then telling you the next day he could have easily slept with her dime friend if he wanted to.

I once banged a fat chick at university. She actually had a really pretty face and was very sweet, just fat. She'd been flirting with me for a while. But damn, that one night when it happened she was horny as well and just wanted to keep going after the first round. It was three rounds that night, and was exhausting. The good thing was she was on top for rounds 2 and 3.
Ironically, her slimmer fried wasn't that attractive.

I like that story. Honestly, I prefer them on the thicker side. I was just making the analogy along society's standards for familiarity.

Whilst Joshua is delusional here your posts are still utter garbage.

Thats not what he said.. The weirdo OP cut parts out of his quote

“If I wanted to go for [the knockout], I would have gone for it in certain times,” Joshua said.

“From the first round, I'd already busted his eye, but that was going against my discipline and my tactics. Tall fighters against short fighters don't mix it inside. It's like Rule 101 that I went against in my first fight.

That's a tactical point of view. From a tactical point of view, it was give him the sweet science, the Lennox Lewis versus David Tua. I wouldn't say the Tommy Hearns versus Sugar Ray [Leonard] because you know how that went, but the rangy boxer versus the shorter arm boxer, there's a way you go about getting a victory, and it's not going in there looking for a knockout.

It's if the knockout come, then you take it, but don't go in there looking for it.”

Haha I know I went off the point there, but this memory just popped into my head - as it does quite often;);)

Right, so instead of winning in a more decisive manner than he lost, he chose a dull 12-round shut-out dancing round a fat man. Sounds plausible....

    Trolololol.

You're one sad guy. One who's not very good at trolling I might add. Get a better pastime.
