Probably because of the opponent, Joshua no longer has hunger or desire, from now on he only fights for money...

    How is this news.

His stock has fallen quite a bit, he's coming off multiple losses, his public persona has taken a bit of a hit, and hes in a fight that nobody cares about against someone few people really know.

Of course he's not going to be selling the same.

Pit him in with a big name and it will so big numbers.

Long story short, Joshua isn't champion anymore and the opponent selection is pap.

How much do UK fans know about Franklin?

Whyte was coming off a underwhelming performance against Fury and was stopped, so they chose Franklin as a safe comeback opponent...and that is about it. Also, throw in that Hearn kept telling everyone that Joshua would be taking on a top 15 opponent. So to then match him with the guy Whyte just beat is hardly must see.

It's sold about 75% of the seating, it will sell out or be there abouts. Disappointing still for a man who regularly packs out football stadiums. It shows his stock has dropped.

Probably because StubHub didn't buy them all out upon release.

There is no title on the line, everyone knows it is a warm up fight, paying in region of a £100 minimum for a ticket in present financial climate for such an event is not in everyone's reach, or even in everyone's plans

AJ also has lost his drawing power by his 2 Usyk defeats, he is going to have to get some wins under his belt or face Wilder, Fury or Joyce to get folk paying big to fill out a decent venue.

If AJ starts throwing the bombs again then his worth will rise, fighting as he did vs Usyk and the paying public will spend their hard earned money elsewhere.

He benefitted from excellent marketing from Matchroom/Sky when in actuality he’s a very weird and very dull person.

His entire profile was built on the ‘invincibility’ he was supposed to have until Ruiz 1.

He deserves it. Not because he lost to Usyk twice, but that he is proper weird. He has no interest in fighting decent fights and he will slowly disappear. Good news imo.

Fury v AJ would be huge, Fury is a bigger name than Wilder.

These guys aren’t young anymore and he seems to be mentally fragile. He might be better off just fighting UK up and coming fighters than trying to get back to the top. Fury will outlast him, Wilder has less skill but more heart, Usyk beat him and an in shape Ruiz could always land that punch again.

Any fighter not on bt or sky ain't going to get much promotion I really dont know why fighters don't stick to the big channels no exposure in the UK like it look at boxxer on sky now Adam azim is really becoming quite popular wouldn't get same exposure on dazn especially with people paying for sky and bt for the football then dazn want another £10 for one good card a year

Because he's a dull, soulless robot wanker with no real desire to actually fight and the majority of boxing fans realize these facts, and thus won't support him.
