My friend, I'm British, I support our fighters, I'm not anti AJ or anti Hearn but I will criticise them if I believe they deserve it and will take the pee out of anybody if I think it's funny.

I was just having a laugh and joke, so I am not going to apologise for what was quite clearly a joke.

Also after reading your post I'm just going to let you know a few things.. I'm not star struck by anybody, I'm not that sort of person, I never have been and I've met, spoken to, worked with and worked for some very well known people, I'm just not that easily intimidated or easily impressed by money, status or apparent fame.

I will always show people respect, respect is very different, I've been told many times I'm very old fashioned in the way I behave and conduct myself.

It was just the way I was raised, we are all human, I have complete confidence in myself but I'm not arrogant, the moment you allow or just let yourself feel inferior to anybody or like you say "gush" over somebody because of their reputation, wealth, status or fame then you are in my opinion.. you have a problem.

Also Just so you know.. I've met and spoke to AJ plenty of times, right back when he was an amateur, he is a nice person, not the nicest I've met but he was OK, friendly enough. I've also spoken to plenty of other professional boxers, some of my favourite boxers, and every time I'm just myself, the same person who has a chat with his neighbour, if I bump in to them I will say "Hi, nice to meet you" because It is nice to meet people but I'm a man, I don't "gush like a fan girl", maybe that's a little window to how you feel or act when you meet a fighter or somebody who you feel impressed by but it certainly isn't how I feel, act or behave.

Also, a little information about myself and I don't normally speak about my history or personal life.. well I slaughter my wife on here but she deserves it.

When I was basically a toddler I went Judo classses, I did very well, I loved it, I had a tiny little Judogi, my mother still has it, my first one, it's very cute, anyway I competed, did well.

I stopped participating in Judo at around the age of 10-11 years old and then I did actually box and I boxed competitively, so did a few of my closest friends, that's how I ended up going to the gym, a friend at school boxed so I ended up going also.

I'm not going to pretend I was or would have been anything special because I wasn't or wouldn't have been, but I was OK/good, I won a few little amateur titles and then I discovered girls (I was a boy myself so it wasn't dodgy saying "girls"), parties, I suddenly had a great social life and I also discovered alcohol, started to enjoy food, and also and most importantly I had to study.

So I slowly drifted out of the gym, I still played football, I still exercised, I still exercise now, but I've sparred, more rounds than I care to remember and fought competitively and know exactly how it felt for me (it feels different for everybody) to step between the ropes.

My son has boxed too, he actually won a national title, he also won a few little other amateur titles, he would have beaten me senseless if we had fought at the same ages (I am pretty sure he'd beat me senseless now if he actually wanted to) so I've also experienced what it is like to see a person you love and care for more than anything in the world box, hit somebody else, hurt somebody else, win, get hit, get hurt, lose and watch them go through the many struggles, from something like seriously struggling to make weight to losing a big bout, and that truly bitter disappointment and then having to cope and recover mentally.

So maybe before you sit behind a keyboard spouting off because of a joke you didn't like or find remotely amusing (and that's your right, you have not got to find me funny) and having a pop about the people who don't understand and then projecting your "gushing" girl like attitude towards the famous on to others and assume you know about things and others don't..

maybe just ask a question like "have you actually fought before" or "have you stepped through the ropes at any level" instead of just typing assumptions followed by a patronising "lol" and trying to pretend you know and have the experiences but others do not.

Some people on here might surprise you, because they have surprised me.

Except it wasn’t a joke or if it was it was without context and the funny bit which is normally essential to a joke. Maybe you should stick to fatherhood and leave being funny to someone else.

So without context or humour, you’re comments just came over as those of a keyboard warrior, hence my reply.

Your response suggests that my comments caused you hurt and if so then I apologise, I certainly don’t come on these boards to upset genuine posters.

Without getting into the entirety of your post, let me say you were raised right.

You treat people with respect because of who you are, not because of who they are.

Not enough people learn this simple life lesson, sadly.

The thread title is saying AJ was suspended indefinitely.. And I made that reply... so there is the context.

I just went back and looked and 15 posters "liked" my comment, so I'm going to assume they understood it and knew it was a joke.. I thought it was clear enough.

Or do you think people read it and thought "oh my god, AJ was examined and they couldn't find a heart.." ..

You really think that? in the words of GGG.. are you serious?

I will poke fun at fighters if I feel like it, I will poke fun at other posters in good humour, and I will have people poke fun at me.. it's all good.

And obviously you just didn't find it funny and you obviously didn't understand it, you have every right not to find my comment remotely amusing, that wasn't the point of my reply post..

it was you banging on and being self righteous and sharing your opinions about what you believed I would be like in the company of AJ or any other fighter and assuming to know what I have or haven't done so I thought I'd just tell you.

That's all, your post certainly didn't upset me, why would it? It is text on a screen, just like these words would not upset you.. well my original post seemed to upset you but maybe it's because you didn't understand it.

I'm a big AJ fan. He will make a great comeback soon. That's for sure. I don't care what others have criticized him.

I clearly knew you weren’t being literal, however it seemed, to me at least, that you were opportunistically gloating and being disrespectful, t didn’t come over as funny at all!!

While a few people might have ‘liked’ your post maybe a lot didn’t so that proves nothing.

Imo, my post was giving you a bit of your own back which you clearly don’t like or at least you don’t like the thought that you wrote something which misrepresents you leading to to someone misjudging you., hence the overly revealing life story.

As I said I come here to discuss boxing and not to hurt or upset people who don’t deserve it, hence my apology which I see from your reply, you’ve ignored

I can't be bothered, I really can't.. but I will... I make a joke about AJ having no heart, as you rightly state it wasn't literal, so I assumed it was quite clearly a joke, you are obviously a little touchy when it comes to AJ, I'm assuming you're an alt who hasn't been back on his original account after AJ got bashed up.

I actually had money on Ruiz, 16/1 to win my any method, that's a fact, so I was very happy AJ got tanked by the little fat fella.

Anyway, It really wasn't that deep but you felt you needed to comment, if you didn't like the post or didn't think it was funny then of course you can say so but you went a whole lot further.

You gave us all an insight on how you "gush like a girl" when you meet people and then implied I was like you, I'm not like you, I'm not like you in many ways, far from it.

So I told you exactly what I'm like and also told you I have boxed (my life story as you put it) because you also implied "people like me" are keyboard warriors who haven't stepped between the ropes.

Well I have and I told you because you didn't even bother asking and I thought you'd like to know.

You didn't upset me, you haven't got to apologise for anything, but sometimes I'll answer comments what I consider negative, sometimes I don't, depends on how I feel, what mood I'm in, sometimes I completely ignore them.

You obviously want to have the last word and that's fine with me, I won't be commenting on this subject again, it's just so pointless, not even sure why I gave this subject so much of my time to be honest.

I'm moving on, you'll see I don't hold grudges, I won't be looking out for your posts to pick holes or be a moby, not my style but I won't be commenting on this again.

As I said, it didn’t come over as a joke therefore not “quite clearly a joke” it came over as a jealous never was taking the opportunity to ridicule someone whose probably 10x the man you are! I just hate people who try to make themselves look better at the expense of others.

I have no alts or previous user names, just this one but there again if it helps you to feel better about yourself to suggest that then you assume what you want (bit of a pattern forming here)

Pretend tough guys like you always gush when fronted up so the fact that comment has gotten under your skin so much just confirms I was right in my first post.

In the past I’ve had posters assume stuff wrongly about me and when they were big enough to apologise I just said “no harm done” and moved on, but not you, no!

You’ve got to spin this yarn about being a nice, honest and moral bloke whose upbringing was exemplary, whose parents values have been absorbed into your very being. Give me a break!

By the way, thanks for the last word, very big of you
Not that it was yours to give

I too will move on now and like you I’ll bear no grudges, not that there’s anything to do that over anyway but it just seems like a magnanimous thing to say, aren’t I great!!

true enough but the post was done tongue in cheek. The reasons you give is why you'll never find a post of mine calling fighters "bums" as so many on here often do.
