Anthony Joshua to be the most popular sportsman ever!

    Joshua has only been fighting for three and half years. In only 19 fights he was broke Briitish attendance records with over 90,000 people attending his fight, more than Ali, Tyson, Lewis, Vitali etc ever achieved during their entire career, in only his 19th fight.

    Joshua has already broke box office records in the UK, during his first major fight with over 1,500,000 PPV buys, which his more than Floyd Mayweather achieved during his biggest money fight during his entire career against Manny, and this was his first major fight.

    Joshua has 3.9 million Instrgram followers.
    Also 1.2 million Twitter followers.
    And 2 million Facebook followers.
    Just for comparison Haye has 429,000 Instagram, 745,000 Facebook and 1.2 million Twitter.
    Klitschko has 332,000 Instgram, 2 million Facebook, and 500,000 Twitter.
    Wilder has 315,000 Instagram, 340,000 Facebook, and 180,00 Twitter followers.
    Anthony Joshua has dwarfed the other heavyweight in popularity and he only has 19 fights, it is amazing!

    He is a social media star.

    He is a marketers dream and already has loads of sponsors giving him millions every year.

    His fighting style in electric just like Tyson's that got him so famous.

    He has a sports mad British nation behind him.

    And he has only had 19 fights, and is just getting started. He could quite easily be the most recognised and famous sportsman in the world in a couple of short years from now.

    He's already more popular than Wlad ever was and his popularity is only going to rise.

    Look at it this way - Joshua will never defend all his belts on free to air Eurosport :pancarta:

    Who is going to get him there? You can't rise to the top if you don't stand on the back of giants.

    Wilder, Parker, ect are not exactly...he has one good fight left against Wlad, and then what?

    He probably wont even break the 140 thousand attendance record and I believe May/Pac sold 5 million PPV.

    More people may have bought the bout in UK, but thats the UK...
    maybe thihs thread shouldl be called "AJ to become most popular boxer from UK ever...that I would agree with

    Can't see that happening I'm afraid. Ali, Tyson and Louis for example were global stars and the most popular sportsmen of their times, and both were arguably one of the best known people of their times. There are loads of names in the past as well who were global stars. Joshua isn't a global star yet and whilst very popular simply won't be as huge as these guys were.

    I didn't start the thread, s-head. Attack that dude. Wlad has been in the game over 20 years without one positive or big weight gain over 5 months like Joshua had in mid 2014. 20lb of lean muss in 5 months is good going.

    He's not going to reach the fame of Ali or Tyson, no way, he's too laid back, but good luck to him.

    Don't forget as well, Tyson was earning $30m a fight by the time he was 23 or 24, and when you consider that was nearly 30 years ago, that really is staggering.

    Wlad being in that condition at 41 is far more suspect. Why aren't you pointing the finger at him??

    Wlad isn't that big. He was going to compete at HW in the Olympics because Vitali was competing at SHW.

    If you blame one guy then blame the other , or else stfu swanney.
