Just saw someone put this up on facebook. The guy who put it up is the coach of somebody else who is on the GB podium squad so there may be some truth to it. What do you reckon.

He needs to get back in action what ever he does!

It was a little tongue in cheek and I will be supporting him all the way but I will not be setting the bar to high for Joshua. However we will have to wait and see he could prove a lot of people wrong

    Hey, not like that :nono
    Audley deserved his gold medal.

  6. He needs to do something as he is stagnating at the moment

People will say 'yeah but he is young' but he has to strike while the iron is hot not sit back and live off the Olympics

Considering his inexperience the kid has massive talent and bundles of attributes that suit the pros

It was all Joshua hype before the Olympics, the hype he got was unreal. People were saying he was robbed in the world championships (which he wasn't) and let's be honest he didn't deserve to win the Olympics either.

Anyway it'll be interesting to see how he does in the pro game if this is true. I wouldn't be surprised if it is since like I said the guy who has claimed this on facebook is the club coach of somebody on the podium squad and still speaks to him.

I don't see it myself. I think he is going to have massive stamina problems in the pro game.

He's ben injured & had surgery since the Olympics, hence the inactivity & non-appearance in out WSB team.

Josh gets a lot of stick for his gold medal but people are quick to forget he won silver in the 2011 worlds in only his 2nd international tournament & arguably beat Medzhidov in the final infront of his own fans.

He's still raw & learning, though he looked bulked-up & stiff at the Olympics the future is very bright for Joshua, but, haters gon hate :conf

    :rofl

I am willing to overlook the fact that Joshua should have lost in the final on the basis that it was a cop that he robbed. I was surprised that Cammarelle didn't cuff him and read him his rights at the end for what was the most blatant of thefts.

We go through 1000 posts a week on here about boxing not be promoted properly, not getting enough profile, not getting out to the public.....and as soon as a fighter gets promoted its called overhype and the hardcore fans get sick of it. Same thing is happening with the Froch fight. He wen't through years of being ignored and now he calls himself a warrior on Jonathan Ross and people get pissed off.

Anthony Joshua, if nobody even mentioned a robbery at the WC, and had he gone out in the first round of the Olympics which he should have done, would have still been one of the No.1 Prospects in world boxing. Ask any fighter thats trained, fought and sparred with Joshua how good he is? Ask Tyson Fury & Dereck Chisora both top 15 Heavyweights in the world what happened when they sparred with Joshua?

People should get behind him. The guy has a genuine shot at being World Heavyweight Champion.

The hate is boring already. Bunch of smart arses trying to look clever. Same thing happend with Amir Khan and its still going on today. Had to listen to 2 years of people telling me he would never win a world title and Jon Thaxton would beat him!

    Difficult to disagree with.

Joshua may not even be Audley V2. He'll be the first Joshua!

Meaning possibly worse than Audley of the back of the Olympics.

    Worse than Audley? :scaredas:

    YES! :happy

  14. Considering his number of fights his level is outstanding

He has power,a good chin,a pro style, guts and an impressive will to win

Fitness is probably going to be an issue now which is why he will start with undemanding 6 rounders no doubt

I think he could be great but no amateur is a guaranteed success

I thought he was beaten very clearly to be honest. I can't believe it was only by 1 point.
