Joshua Wilder nor fury have to fight each other right now, why should they?

The more stars you have particulary in the same divisiion is better for boxing as a whole. You know that once these guys catch their first loss, the hype will die down. Let these guys shine right now and grow. Do you remember the hype for Joshua vs Wilder 2 years ago? How much bigger is the hype now? How much more will it grow in the next 2 years? These guys are far from old . Give it time!

The other 2 just fought each other. AJ is the only one yet to fight either guy.

And that is quite simply down to the fact that they don't want that smoke. Wilder and his team have made so many excuses over the last week that even they can't agree on why they didn't take the 120 million dollar deal.

Just let that sink in for a moment. Wilder is coming off a gift draw in only his second meaningful fight in a near 11 year pro career and he turns down one of the most lucrative offers in Heavyweight boxing history. I'm yet to hear the details of the astounding counter offer that he's taking instead.

And then you have Fury who by all account was granted the flat fee he requested, but changed his mind and was then told that a 40% split would be offered for his mythical, magical Lineal title and he declined. At this rate, AJ's gonna end up throwing his left testicle into any future deal to see if that's enough of a sweetener.

How many more fights do you actually think that Wilder has in him?

What if Breazeale ends the hypejob in May already?! (Big risk)

Do you really think that the Joshua-Wilder fight will get bigger by it??

Yeah, I reckon as soon as the above start to properly arrive on the scene, along with Yoka I would say, things will get very interesting. Honestly, I think if Wilder has a genuine threat as a mandatory, he skips it for the unification.

    I agree, Fury beat Wilder.

This is the Floyd Mayweather effect on boxing, letting fights marinate. Fury definitely can get a better offer than what Hearn has thrown out there and he's the harder fight for Joshua. I have no doubt Joshua beats Wilder.

Sorry I just cannot agree to letting these fights marinate. Keeping belts hostage is ruining the sport for all the fans and fighters throughout the levels, holding fighters back from ever being champ because others are " fighting who my promoter puts in front of me" .... horse ****... We are the one's missing out on dozens of good fights because of this.. Floyd and Manny could of had a trilogy, easy!!! But no, we got to "build suspense" and "let it marinate"... We the fans miss out!!!!!
And then just as if we haven't had enough we have the alphabet groups corruption & blatant cheating all to aid profit and us sheep led to believe this makes the fight bigger.
Wilder, AJ, Fury should be fighting each other this year, some should win, some should lose and then (after rematches) they should fight there way back up the ranking whilst others get a deserved shot.
Fights should be made not marinated...either fight XXXXXX or vacate and let others have a shot..

Never gonna happen while we got different belts

    I can dream tho

I think Joshua/Fury happens before the end of 2020 so give it time and this fight will be bigger in a year

Fury, Joshua, Wilder, Usyk and Ortiz are far better than the rest of the division.

Wilder is 33, how many heavyweights have been champ at 35? Wlad? Vitali, Lewis? Holmes was nowhere near his prime at 35 and Foreman was being outboxed before he stopped Moorer. What age do you feel Wilder will start to decline?
