Yep I think he has about as good a chance to KO Joshua as anyone who can punch, including Wilder. He'll be the underdog but in this division anything can happen. One mistake and it's over. Having said that Joshua by hellacious uppercut.
You tell me? Hmm Thats means you rate Povetkin higher than Larry Homles , Ali , Joe Louis , Holyfield , George Foreman , Mike Tyson. . Yet you give him no hope whatsoever against Joshua.. Whats going on here? You think Josuha would beat those ATGs easier than Povetkin?
I don't have to tell you. Since I didn't mention that word in this thread. It was you who mentioned that word. Ergo, the onus is upon you to answer. Your question has nothing to do with this thread. Ergo, I've ignored that question.
I'm not saying it's impossible. Of course, there is a possibility, although microscopic, in this world Povetkin KOs Joshua. But that is highly, highly improbable. In these circumstances calling this fight's result a Povetkin KO is absurd.
Absurd based on what? He looked pretty horrible vs Takam and hardly landed anything on Parker. The Wlad fight he was very badly hurt several times. I doubt Povetkin lets him off the same hook if he can do the same.
Takam had the worst possible style with the best possible physique type for that style against Joshua. Joshua is on the stiff side of boxers, so yeah. Didn't do that much but still won the most rounds. Same goes for Parker. Neutralised him and won enough to win a wide decision. Difference between Povetkin is, Povetkin goes forward. But he isn't gonna rock a behemoth like Joshua. He just can't. There is no technicality in this. He can't do ****. Simple as that. Doesn't have enough power, enough range, enough speed. Either early or late this should be a KO for Joshua since I don't see Povetkin going Parker/Takam route of playing safe.
You seem to forget Joshua was rocked badly by Whyte. Povetkin is a level above that Whyte in every department: throws more punches, more variety, movement, experience, resume is top drawer. Only been down to one man and he weathered some real pressure mid rounds to get to the cards along with some dubious holding tactics by Wlad. Haters will go on about Huck but we saw Haye vs a lesser cruiser than Huck recently.
Povetkin you talk of doesn't exist anymore. And Joshua is a super heavyweight as Wlad was. Size will decide this outcome as well.
