I am a big fan of AJ and had heard of him losing to Dillian Whyte but to actually see the fight I was surprised how dominated AJ was by Whyte. Whyte can be back fighting in October and it ill interesting to see what condition he's in and based on the genuine anomosity between them it would be a great rematch. I think with all the GB Olympic set up and experience AJ has since this fight he's got to be the favourite however Whyte seems to be a very tough man and the fight would be a slugfest .
Last time I checked I was pretty sure you can class a fighter who has had only 5 fights a novice, regardless of how many his opponents had, Joshua was a novice, Whyte may have been a novice, my point is that he has developed a lot since then. And if you want to be pedantic he was still 19 when he fought Whyte by 3 months, so still a teenager.
What a fight that is for an amateur scrap. Whyte could have dismantled him if he did go winging for a large spell in the second, still won comfortably though. That being said, the inactivity of Whyte and the level of training AJ has been getting I cant see past Joshua should they meet and I really hope they do!
What do you mean "Whyte may have been a novice" it was his debut. Whyte is only 18 months older than Joshua so not a great difference and this teenager by 3 months bs is just an excuse Joshua was completely owned and put on his arse and had Whyte had more experience he would of stopped him. I think Joshua's chin/heart has yet to be tested in the pros so let's see what happens when someone really puts it on him don't forget Joshua crumbled against Mihai Nistor and the fight was stopped.
