Fury stops him late. He’s too slick and defensively sound and he’ll be the stronger guy in the clinches wearing AJ down.
Today I would say Fury, Wilder, Whyte, Usyk, etc...too simple...he was not the real AJ... Let him fight with Ruiz, after we can talk about.
Sorry I though it was current v current. Will change vote now... Current v current is a no brainer, Fury gives him brain damage with a slow beating like he did with Wilder.. The McDermott Fury would get caught with something pretty early and get ko'd..
I think the McDermott fight was when Fury realized he didn’t have the power to properly utilize the style he had at that point in time, and compelled him to totally reinvent himself. Joshua on the other hand has always naturally been a human wrecking ball despite his vulnerabilities. Fury would either get smacked around early and find a way to come back as Joshua tires, or get smacked around early and not. I’d lean torwards the latter heavily though.
