This fight could be a real possibility in the near future. Provided Joshua beats Parker and Povetkin beats Hammer in WBO eliminator, we could have Joshua as the WBO champ facing new mandatory Alexander Povetkin.

imo This would be Joshua's 2nd most skilled opponent he would face, after Klitschko.

if that happens, how do you see this fight playing out?

Povetkin showed quite a poor chin vs. Wlad. I think AJ floors him a couple times and might stop him late.

Povetkin gets him out of there late after a few rough patches and after Joshua shows his **** stamina again. Alexander definitely hits hard enough to scramble HGH guts brains and stop him.

Yeah but Povetkin has upped his game since the WK loss. Would be just as tough as the WK fight for Joshua. Will defo be on the floor at some point.

    Povetkin by TKO

I think Pov. would meet Joshua, Wilder ( quite easily ) or Parker

Povetkin is a little man but would have a chance. AJ by UD I'd say. Good thing is that Joshua wouldn't fight quite as dirty as Wlado.

I'd favour Joshua but it's a very competitive fight if Povetkin hasn't declined too much with age. Povetkin might be the one guy who can actually stand and trade with Joshua and not come off 2nd best. Would be interesting to see if he can force Joshua to box off the back foot because everyone so far that Joshua haven't been able to deal with his size and power up close.
