Funny, I see it exactly the opposite, a lot of the posters aren't a bunch of reflexive drooling fanboys as much as some of them used to be. They show more critical thinking, don't always assume a seemingly uncompetitive match is what it appears, are willing to take into consideration the possibility that a journeyman can upset the apple cart. They're more interested in lesser known fighters, especially in the lower weights, and quite frankly, the racial trolling from both sides has taken a hit, and has subsided. They've started discussing and analyzing obscure fights from the furthest corners of the world, and wrapping their heads around how styles, rhythms, etc. play a huge part in how a fight can play out. Now I'm not saying that's all because of me, although some of it is. IB deserves a shitload of credit for his great threads of late as well. That being said, You're just butthurt because AJ looked very average tonight, and yes, very beatable, just like I've said for awhile, his skills are average, he's a robot with a big punch and somewhat fast hands, so **** off.

The Slick Andy who showed up against Parker is a stylistic nightmare for Joshua: he would give Joshua absolute fits, and then would either be on the receiving end of a British Stoppage similar to tonight, or get robbed on the scorecards.

I seldom come here much anymore anyway - but to be honest, I feel you just proved my point with the sentence in bold above - just unnecessary and presumptive (not to mention the inadvertent hilarity of trying to take SOME credit for making people more thoughtful boxing fans since you took over!). I'm not a massive Joshua fan - though after watching people moan about Klitschko and "Euro bums" etc etc for years, I figured he was the perfect tonic to that.

I know boxing is an inherently partisan sport - you pick your guy and root for them, it's part of the fun. Denigrating other boxers who are rivals, or who you don't like is just plain ugly and also undermines the success of the guy you are rooting for.
I believe in credit where it's due. Takam is great, Tough and tricky. He was out of his depth tonight and that's credit to the victor. Bad stoppage, I certainly agree. But there's action, and excitement, and class and drama. Long may it continue.

    Bye bye boxingforum24!
