Amazing that the human rights issues are washed over when some people have it all on the line with somebodys life or limbs having to go every week.

 

Yup, anything for a pound note, but at least i watch all the cards and never contribute one single penny to them ever.

 

They haven’t let AJ near a puncher since VLADD. DDD hits too hard for team AJ even though he has that QUIT in him possibly even worse than AJ does.

I’d probably shade DDD to land heavy and scare Joshua back into his shell, DDD late stoppage or AJ spit and QUIT a la Ruiz.

 

Battle of the weak hearts for me and a 50/50 fight.

Not sure who would crumble first.

 

If that does happen, which I would be surprised at, it would be more likely Warren as he son runs Queensbury anyway. I doubt Hearn would leave their cash cow / business model for the insane DAZN for that.

 

Would never have believed the Saudi nation would have bought World Golf or that many Football Stars would play in Saudi.

If they want to buy boxing, it will happen.

I really hope this is not true. Warren put Dubois through fire. He has managed to come through it, just, and is back on track following his showing against Miller. WTF are they looking to throw Dubois in with Joshua for?

What is this obsession with trying to feed Dubois to the sharks again and again.

AJ would fear Dubious power so wouldn’t be as assertive imo. I think AJ would win, but it would be a far more conservative performance a la Jermaine Franklin for me.

 

If they make this as a quick turn around fight then why not? It will sell. Easy fight for Joshua but at least your man has a bit of momentum now. For Dubois. Well he's nothing really to lose now. So he may as well take the biggest paying fights while he's bankable. Win win for both men really.

 

It's a win for Joshua, he claims another top 10 scalp. Not so sure for Dubois.

DDD is 26. In the next few years the top guys will be retiring. He already has big time boxing experience from sharing the ring with Usyk (who was never going to do too much physical damage to Dubois so it was risk worth taking even as a learning experience). But I'm not sure it is beneficial to him to get beat up by a resurgent Joshua.

He jumped up from Fujimoto and Snijders to Joyce. With disastrous effect.
He then jumped up to Usyk after barely scraping past Lerena in a very dodgy fight. Usyk seemingly broke his will.

He's now got a good win under his belt---his best win so far---over Jerrell Miller. But let's be real here, Miller is/was a top 20 heavyweight. So why not build on that.

Sure there is the benefit of learning from his losses. But he likely will take a fair amount of damage from fighting Joshua.

I would prefer they match him sensibly. Get him a few more wins around the top 20 in 2024. Then look at positioning for a final eliminator come 2025. He will still be 28/29 and it will increase his chances of actually winning when he gets to challenge for a title.

Dubois should target someone like Franklin next, Ajagba or even Wallin at a push. But he isn't ready for the top 5 yet. It will just be another L on his record and potentially damage what confidence he will have gained from the Miller fight.

 

Would be a good fight this one. DDD has proved he can box he was doing great against Usyk he can also stand and trade, he ate a fair few shots against Miller and he’s huge. AJ is still a big stiff robot who gasses after 5 rounds so it’s no given that AJ beats him easily.

 

Miller isn't really a puncher like that. When he was on the juice he took more of a mauling/swarming approach. Just kept taking shots to throw shots. Similar to Joyce. He can score knock outs but it is usually from accumulation and just constantly touching his opponents. I mean he is a big guy, so even his arm punches will likely hurt if you keep taking them. Actually, I think he might have had the highest averages for punches thrown and landed in the division per round before he popped.

He was basically throwing around 60 per round to land AVG 22.
In contrast off the juice against Dubois he was averaging just under 40 thrown and about 11 landed.

Dubois basically flipped the script and beat him at his own game, which just hasn't really happened to Miller before. It was Dubois who averaged nearer 22 landed with 52 thrown per round. But that is probably because Miller isn't juiced to the gills anymore.
