If it was announced today that they would fight in may, who do you think would win?

I think Joshua would win and finish of Wilder. I think AJ is all wrong for Wilder. AJ is deadly on the inside, but Wilder has nothing on the inside.

It will be a close 50/50 for sure, and the first man who connects clean probably wins.

However, I've seen Wilders heart on his sleeve, AJ not so much.
So I imagine if AJ connected, Wilder could get up. But if Wilder connects, its over for Joshua.
    That edges it for me.

Joshua got up from Wlad's bomb. Wilder's yet to taste that kind of power, which Joshua can deliver or at least close to it. All the heart in the world won't save you.

    I do think it's 50/50 though.

Wlad was a loooong time ago, and I've not seen that AJ since.... He's not been the same since he quit against Ruiz.
Dont get me wrong, I had AJ all over Wilder up until recently, but my opinion has changed. AJ sparks Usyk out and my opinon changes again probably.

50/50 fight, but i just ever so slightly edge for Wilder at this moment in time.

I don't get the idea that AJ has no heart. He's fought some tough fights and got up from the deck many times.

    He's ducked no one.

Classic...... I have 600 posts, and about 350 of them are slagging off Wilder.... But I'm sorry to say he has proven a lot more heart than AJ.
No way Wilder would ever quit against fat Andy like Josh did.

I do agree Wilder has a bigger heart than AJ, but point he's making is that AJ has been on the end of some beatings himself and got back up.

He also handles criticism considerably better than Wilder and makes a lot less excuses and just accepts defeat.

I agree entriely, I'm a known Wilder hater and have been for ages, hes a dick. But the original post was if the fight was signed today, and I edge Wilder just slightly at this point, based on heart alone as its the only thing I think seperates them right now.
Every time Wilder gets up, its another chance to drop the bomb. If it lands, AJ wont get up IMO.

AJ doesn't trust his chin anymore and Wilder would feed on that.

Pre-Ruiz I it was a clear AJ win, he would have some combo or counter that Wilder doesn't see coming and just do it again and again until Wilder fell. Same game plan now but he won't commit the way he used to so it's much less effective. It would be total chaos and could go either way.

Jesus wept.....Wilder wouldn't fight AJ. based on what what fighting an unfit Fury?
Clowns talking about Wilder having more heart than AJ?
Again based on what? AJ's resume is miles better than Wilder's so AJ clearly has bigger pair of balls for taking on the harder fights in the first place.
Yet Wilder get's credit because an untrained Fury failed to finish him quickly in the third fiight...Not sure what the rest of you are watching yes Wilder showed some gut's to last as long as he did. but you should also factor that an elite heavy would have dusted Wilder who had run out of gas and ideas after a couple of rounds. Fury was crap yet somehow they both get credit...
Back on topic people like to crap on AJ despite him having by far the best resume if not the best wins. many times he's been behind or dropped and come back and win. The last couple of years have seen him become reticent but I believe at this point he still beats Wilder.
Again though the op is theorising something that would never happen remembering that Fury was seen as a name that was an easy touch due to his antics out of the ring. Wilder has always been smoke and mirrors.

Go watch again... He spit his gumshield and laid on the ropes and didnt acknowledge the ref, he barley even nodded his head when he asked if he was ok, no attempt to come forward whatsoever..
The ref saw a quitter and did the right thing, AJ had had enough.

Its still on youtube for the whole world to see if you wanna double check.

What's point? Its a one sided mismatch. Wilder's team know this hence why Wildwr has ducked him for so many years and turned down so many career high purses.

A closer fight would be Wilder vs Chisora (in which I would give a slight edge to Chisora).
