Wilder does have power with his windmill haymakers, but Joshua is a huge puncher too and is the far better boxer.

95% sure Joshua will win by KO if they ever fight, but Wilder might have a 5% punchers' chance.

Joshua is all wrong for Wilder. A mid-round TKO

Makes very little sense that the man with the unbeaten record against varied opposition is most susceptible to a given style but....you run with the theory if you like.
You can subscribe to the idea that a 3 belt unified, unbeaten HW champion has got to that position whilst avoiding particularly fast, big and powerful fighters, just don't expect me to recognize the 'reasoning' behind it.
If the man with the best resume in the division has been avoiding boxers with attributes that make for successful boxing careers, then what in the funk have the rest of them been doing?!? Sounds like a magic trick to me....and I ain't buying.

The far more likely scenario is that Joshua has got to his position atop the division by being the best equipped fighter when coping with speed and power. Perhaps you could admit that if you were a little more...umm...objective?

I'm going on his getting wobbled twice by smaller guys with similarly fast hands but with even less power. I'm also going on his near KO by an old man with similar (possibly less) power and definitely less size to Wilder.

I say you're guilty of confirmation bias and only picking data to suit your opinion rather than basing your opinion on all the available data.

Wilder himself has been wobbled or dropped by smaller men with less power and speed, in Nichols, Sconiers and Molina. He was also badly hurt by the much smaller and slower Ortiz.

Joshua has beaten the better opposition, the 2 common opponents they've fought Joshua beat both more convincingly and faster.

But having said that I think Wilder has a better chance than most, he's improved as a fighter since winning the belt and while he has flaws he also does certain things very well. I'd give him a 20% chance of beating Joshua.

I just feel like the wild, erratic puncher will land first. Nothing much more to it really! Joshua has always either fought smaller men or tentative bigger guys. Wilder will likely land on him first, clean with more power than he has ever felt before, even if Wilder's power is on par with Wlad, Wilder will not let Joshha off the hook like Wlad did. Just feels like Wilder is Joshua's worst nightmare to me.

Wilder is more at a disadvantage with a boxer/ puncher then he is against Fury a boxer.

Hope is not a stat or included in breaking down fights. Yes one can hope or assume Wilder will get a knockout but boxing doesn't work like that in these cases. It worked with Ortiz because other factors such as reach and age were factored into that match.

    here's two matches for you.

    1. Tyson Fury .Fury wins because Wilder cannot be as effective against larger guys so he can grind out for 12 rounds..

    2. Joshua wins because he can end the fight whenever he wants or sees an opening while out boxing Wilder and here again Wilders size is nullified.

Until Wilder proves otherwise he's not favored over either.

Well, Wilder certainly has fight ending power and great athleticism.
Unfortunately for him, AJ has a tight, orthodox guard, fast hands, KO power of his own and, crucially, excellent counter-punching ability.
As I've said before, if you're going to analyse match ups for Wilder as : fast and hard punches win boxing matches-Wilder hits fast and hard -Wilder therefore wins,
then you're not really breaking down styles at all.
One should look at Ortiz's static, slow style with little head movement and say he's tailor-made for Wilder's fast hard shots, Wilder by KO whenever he likes!
Didn't work out like that though, and Wilder will undoubtedly have a tougher time against fighters with good legs like Fury, AJ, Parker etc

Joshua holds all the cards and wins 9/10 times, but in saying that it should still make for a great fight, two knockout artists going head to head. It's a shame we aren't seeing this fight now instead of the freakshow thats being served up over the weekend.

AJ wins. He is the Silver Smasher.
