Who wins? AJ just crumpled Povetkin like a sack of potatoes He has one by one taken on the best at HW. Parker, Wlad, Whyte, Takam, Brazeale. Wilder barely got past Ortiz, almost got stopped in the process I say AJ beats Wilder and makes it look easy in the process
Styles make fights, Wilder fights nothing like Povetkin, AJ fights nothing like Ortiz. AJ gets rocked by glancing blows, as does Wilder, but the only one we've seen soak up an immense amount of punishment from a guy with Povetkin and Wlad like power is Wilder. Fine, maybe Ortiz is old, and past it, but you cannot say he doesn't posses a lot of power, so Wilder's chin is solid as they come, most fighters couldn't endure what he endured from Ortiz. AJ was being walked down by Povetkin, which gave him ample opportunity to run Sasha into something, and when he connected, it would do more damage because of that. Wilder will not be coming forward, he will play it safe from start to whenever he lucks out and lands something big, AJ on the other hand will be coming forward and cautiously like he did against Parker, Parker landed, Povetkin landed and Wlad landed, Wilder will land... can AJ take it? Who knows.
No smart schooled fan is going to take Wilder unless theyre fanboys on here or Joshua detractors. This topic has been gone through over and over that one cannot take wilder unless they are not as adept to boxing bc the overwhelming points for Joshua KEEP on showing why wilder will be severly handicapped here. Wilder fights on the back foot which that in itself gives away whos likely to win for anyone who knows their boxing can figure that out when he will have that great reach advantage not there which is the first thing wilder relies on...not a good sign when its not going to be there this time. The Povetkin fight only reinforced Joshuas ring IQ ,it should further make the haters on here more worried, we know who they are and we even know the real dumb ones NOT pretending....lol. The reality is its going to get harder and harder for Wilder to win, its to much a gap now for myself bc I know Joshua should win relatively easy against such a opponent with huge holes to counter, this fights a no brainer and outside a punchers chance no one on here can actually say wilder is favored and that's not a break down bc he has a punchers chance...lol
A 50/50 fight in the truest sense in my mind. Wilder edges Joshua with regards to power and speed but Joshua edges Wilder with regards to overall skill and ring IQ. Both possess the sort of power which can end a fight with a single shot and due to this, this is not a fight I will be betting on. Personally, in my heart I have Joshua dominating Wilder and stopping him very early but in my head I have Wilder weathering the storm and producing another performance remincent of his bout with Ortiz, stopping Joshua in the late rounds and laying him out unconscious. Great fight, hope it gets made.
It isn't difficut to land on Joshua, this was shown in the Wlad, Whyte and Povetkin fights... the issue is, two of them were too old to take advantage and one just isn't very good. Wilder certainly has the youth and power to take advantage of this, but he is also susceptible himself. I wouldn't be confident of betting on either. The same as Hearn which is why the fight hasn't taken place, and won't take place next year.
Two boxer punchers collide AJ appears to be more composed & more technical. The fight will be fight long. Wilder Swings BIG. AJ picks wilder apart for several rounds. Out of NOWHERE Wilder slips a clubbing shot behind AJ's guard that's all she wrote it all went terribly wrong
60/40 Joshua. People dismissing either fighter's chances are dumb. They both are too good and also too flawed for this to be handicapped one-sided. Let's just hope it happens.
Lol Brazeale is one of the best heavyweights now? Takam isn't very good, Povektin was old and never really good in his prime. Wlad has been and will always be a overrated glass chin fraud who was past his prime when AJ fought him. Dillian Whyte isn't anything special so you are just making up stuff because of your biased fanboy for AJ. Also Wilder struggled against Ortiz and was almost stopped? You mean how AJ struggled and was almost stopped against Wlad? In any case Wilder isn't anything special but he hits a lot harder than Povetkin and is in his prime. If he touches AJ chin once the fight is over.
Joshua still looks green. He needs another 4-5 fights to sharpen up his skillset. Right now its still to soon, since Joshua took too long to adjust to Povetkin and was eating alot of counter rights. Joshua would get put to sleep if he takes 2-3 flush counter rights from Wilder. Joshua does have a good check hook that if he polished up could be a great tool in neutralizing Wilder's right hand, but It would also be a good idea for Joshua to start fighting between 235-240, since at 245+lbs he's too slow and stiff and tires very easily.
