Still annoys me that a judge from the same country can be involved in a match involving a compatriot fighter. It's morally wrong - luckily tonight in the Campbell fight it didn't sway the decision, but so often it does.

Luke Campbell looks a solid fighter. That's all I can say really. What's so impressive about him? He got easily beaten tonight... something to learn from.

Second half of the fight: Campbell throws a lot of powderpuff amateur boxing flourishes that hit nothing but gloves and elbows. He looked a limited fighter.

Where do you draw the line with that, though? Slippery slope to assume everyone in the world is nationalistically biased.

How about if the judge is from a different country but of the same religion?

Bell - end fighting now. One of the only British fighters that I don't care if they get ironed out.

"Jim Watt and Nick Halling take over the mic for the rest of the night".

That felt like a kick in the cobblers.

I think Eddie Hearn is not as devastated as some might imagine because win or lose tonight I reckon he was planning fights with bathroom fighters next year anyway no? Crolla Mitchell?

I get your point, but I feel it is too close to home, even if not biased perhaps there is too much pressure from various outlets and pressure coming into play at times.

I feel it would easy enough to not involve people from the same nationality, even if not biased - it just leaves the sport open to complications. Religion wise, sure it could still happen, not something I'm personally all worried about though as I feel it'd be a lot rarer if it did happen. I suppose it all comes down to there needing to be harsher standards on quality of judges, perhaps more courses/retests.
