    Joshua is finished mentally

    Whyte is journeyman at best

Never a Box Office event and a disgrace that people are being fleeced Box Office charges for this non title fight

Joshua is not far from a billionaire while Whyte is incredible nearly a 3 figure millionaire yet they cannot get enough PPV Loot.

Way above my pay-grade. Still being decided. The problem is that if you make it £26.95 for subscribers and non-subscribers, the subscribers will start complaining and asking for a discount potentially. Difficult both ways.

I think they’ll stick with the original plan of the additional monthly cost for non-subscribers. So that will be £26.95 for subscribers, and then £26.95 plus the monthly cost for non-subscribers.

DAZN PPV in the UK is still a very new product so I doubt they are expecting huge PPV numbers regardless of what is being said to the media. Remember there are several PPVs around that time too. Any number above 200,000 buys would be a huge success for an app that no-one knows about.

I think this is going to be a shock to Hearn/Matchroom’s system when they see how many buys it does.

    What’s a “6 figure millionaire”?

You sound like someone who hates the fact the two have done super, super, super well. I’m super happy for them.

Been away for the last 10 days so just catching up, to be fair I’m surprised Hearn has pulled this off. Although both are now puddings it’s the fight for the casuals.

On SKY it would do 1.5 million so would imagine DAZN would be aiming for 750,000.

It’s also a massive test - does poorly then DAZN might as well pull out of boxing straight after because there’s only one fight in the UK bigger and that’s Fury Joshua.

EDIT - I mean bigger in terms of the causal market. Of course in boxing ability Joshua Whyte isn’t a big fight

No chance IMO. Joshua v Klitschko did 1.6m and Joshua is nowhere near as popular these days after 3 defeats. Also factor in cost of living, 27 quid and the fact it’s August (people on holiday or more likely to go down the pub) I think it’d struggle to do more than 500k.

I’d be amazed if it does more than 250k on DAZN.

Remember, it's only a cost of living crisis for matchroom shows that don't sell well. For any other promoters shows that don't sell well, it's purely because their shows / the fighters are awful and the public aren't interested - the 'cost of living crisis' get out clause doesn't apply.

I think that's how the rules are applied by the usual suspects

That is properly mental. So mental I can't even begin to understand it.

It will tank. Massively. As no one is a subscriber and won’t pay £40 for this joke of a fight

    Corrected it to 3

One non elite and one British Level Fighter milking the public for huge sums of money.

I'm happy that you are happy and keeping them happy.

£27 Box Office, £20 sub for 1 month and another £20 for the next month if not cancelled on the day as 30 day's notice is required.

Should the fight be cancelled after people sign up, the only refund is £27 Box Office.

This is what happened with Benn v Eubank.

Those casuals stung for that fight will not be back again.

The negative customer feedback for DAZN UK was right off the scale.

    £47 to watch AJ.

Absolute bargain considering you get to see "checks notes" Galal Yafai vs Tommy Frank included in that price.....
