    Good point about the property.

But to run the same company since the 70's the way they have speaks volumes about their integrity. You could do a deal with those boys with a handshake.

There's a bit of a ruthless streak too. You see fighters leaving on mostly good terms having done well with Matchroom, because the next purse won't meet the fighter's expectations and Eddie/Barry won't promise any more. Fighters rarely make more elsewhere afterwards.

Struggling to think of an example where someone left Matchroom and did better with Warren or another; Warrington maybe? Frampton?

I can't say I've been looking as the Benn farrago has dampened my enthusiasm, but I'm also unaware of much if any press surrounding this fight. Obviously Inoue and Crawford have rightly held the spotlight in recent weeks, but is there any hype for this one? It's not that long ago it would've had at least the capital buzzing, but, with due respect to AJ in particular, given their respective showing against Franklin this looks like two guys who should be thinking about hanging them up?

Yeah, hopefully, it's a slobber knocker rather than a gunshy parade but it's obvious these two guys aren't really in it any more.

If the two of them were doing the tour of mainstream TV studios (like Fury usually would in the run-up to a fight) 20 feet apart separated by a newsreader, shouting "YOU'RE GETTING PUT TO SLEEP", then it could do huge numbers. Kids would be begging parents to pay for it.

Even if that didn't turn out right the money would be in the bank by then and AJ's next big fight will sell anyway.

The promotion of this is where Whyte should be doing his best work. Though maybe Matchroom don't fancy Whyte trashing their big asset to drum up some interest when his stock has already fallen so far?

Agree that is awful and I believe they may have done that to Calzaghe after the Hopkins fight.

Then laughably when Calzaghe promoted his next and last fight directly with RJJ on a 50/50 split, Warren came out and criticised him saying he would have got him a better deal. What world does that idiot live in? At least Calzaghe actually got paid for the fight because he took the promotion into his own hands and cut those clowns out, hence actually getting paid for putting his life on the line. Shocking.

I’m not sure I would even bother watching if it was part of the nornal subscription. It will be similar to his last fight which was dull as.

Bud you are literally obsessed with this DAZN price, it’s all you talk about and it’s been going on for months. You’ve got to let it go, sod them, it’s a crap service with crap fights, they have only had Tank v Garcia which was worth watching all year and we are in August. **** ‘em!

We want to hear your opinions on boxing stuff as you are a respected poster. **** DAZN :).

I know I give him stick, but personally I don’t think Hearn is a scumbag, far from it. The constant lies are a bit annoying though, when 10 years ago he seemed to be more truthful on stuff and that’s why loads of boxers joined MR around that time.

The Dave Allen Dubois story if true, isn’t good to hear and they had that other guys manager mouthing off last week about not getting paid, which I have never head of before with them.

Obviously they're both juicing. Dillian is just too dumb to not get caught.

    I am shocked…

Can see DAZN being happy that they’re going to save £15 million though.
