Shavers is so overrated man, AJ is legit better than him at everything. Also what did his power look like against guys who were bigger than him? Food for thought.

This is not even in the realm of subjectivity. If anyone thinks that Earnie Shavers is a better boxer or that he is equal to Anthony Joshua in his skill set, they are utterly beyond deluded or ignorant.

Or just dont like AJ. Like the jab alone makes this fight so much harder for Shavers because he didn't have one to speak off

It all depends on Joshua’s mental state tbh,his ring walk would be a dead giveaway as to what the fights outcome would be !

AJ is a way better boxer than Shavers ever was and his power could be comparable to Earnie's. Shavers also didn't have that good of a jaw. AJ by a landslide.

AJ gets so underrated on here like hes beaten power punchers before and his skillset is pretty damn good

I'd really look forward to seeing the expression on Joshua's face after Ernie lands his first power punch ,,,anything to his arms, shoulders or body.

Earnie went 15 rounds with Ali, point being Joshua's confidence fled the building after his KO loss and his mentality is there to be exposed. He should beat Shavers, but it sure ain't a given

Fair point. But I do expect AJ to win like 80% of the time his is just a superior boxer to Shavers and hit pretty had himself

AJ is far more skilled than Shavers. Shavers obviously could win, but likely outcome is AJ via KO.

Shavers is a bad finisher. AJ gets up from being knocked down, doesn't stop when he gets hurt, goes out on his shield. Point being, even if Shavers knocked him down a time or two, he'd just get up and continue on. Given how poor of a finisher Shavers is, AJ would probably be able to recover and get back into it.

I'm confused. What did y'all see in AJ's loss to Dubois? I saw him continually get up from being knocked down and badly beaten up, continually keep trying, didn't take a knee, didn't stay down when he could have got up, he went out on his shield. Sure didn't seem to lack confidence. Got his ass kicked and lost, sure, but that was a warrior's loss. No shame in it.

He hasn't fought since so who knows about his current mental state, but I wouldn't assume he won't be the same.
