Agree. But David 'king of hypothetical match-ups' Haye beats the Giant Chicken by devastating first round KO.

Too bad Joshua never took up the CURRENT top guy at HW Stipe on his challenge. Anthony definitely won’t now after he saw what Stipe did to Ngannou.

But prime Fedor would mutilate Joshua and if he wanted, he could make Anthony scream out an apology for that dumb filth he typed in that DM to Chambers.

Joshua would gas even quicker probably. Even if he was cross trained. Way too muscle bound..... That's even more tiring grappling than it is boxing. Smaller stocky heavies like Tyson and Tua would be better fantasy crossovers. Stocky, powerful... Adding TDD and some low kicks would make them a real problem. Kind of like Hunt, Fedor, Cormier etc.

I could post several video's of men getting killed with chokes. Correct me if wrong but I think it's against forum rules so I won't. Also how exactly is a guy with one arm not much easier to kill than an other wise healthy one?

You realise that Fedor would also be able to eye gouge and bite or use what nastyness he could could come up with.

Leg kicks are absolutely brutal to people that have never faced them nor conditioned their legs. Rick "The Jet" Roufus, who had some serious skills and power, was the first western kickboxer to face a genuine world class MT guy in 1988 in a great fight:

So, if that can happen to a kickboxer who actually uses his legs as weapons of destruction, imagine a straight boxer eating low kicks.

This is what a MT guy with conditioned shins can do:

Fedor vs Joshua might look like Stipe vs Ngannou. Fedor's weakness was against high level bjj guys mostly. I think kicking alone is Joshua's kryptonite. Fedor would use his sambo with hard kicks and that would be enough imo.

I think people get a little insecure and defensive on both sides if you say one guy is overrated or if a boxer loses to mma guy or if certain mma guy isn't good etc.

I think looking back some elite athletes like the Klitschko bros may have been a force in mma if they took their time to learn wrestling, bjj ground game, tdd, etc and they already had an amateur kickboxing background. I think Mirko Crocop may have been a top 10 or 20 guy in boxing also if he just took the time to learn and strictly dedicate his time to boxing. It's just hard to say overall and it's speculative at best. They're both different sports. I think it's mostly about *levels* in how a boxer does vs an mma fighter and certain intangibles about either boxer/mixed martial artist, individual qualities,...etc.. I do think it's hard to get a boxer out of the boxing stance vs a kickboxer/muay thai fighter adopting a boxing stance. It's easier for a kickboxer obviously to transition into the mma world.

When i think of Joshua i believe he could knock out a lot of the mma heavies today with some comfort because it's a weak division overall. It's the land of the dinosaurs. The top guys beat him like Stipe, Werdum, etc.. as weaknesses can be exposed easier in mma. He has a puncher's chance. Stipe dominated Ngannou and he saw all Ngannou's loaded punches coming at him. He used head movement, wrestling takedowns and footwork to disable Ngannou. I mean Ngannou has only 4 years mma experience but he was a product of hype and marketing he couldn't live up to. He knocked out two guys who haven't got the best of chins relative to the weight. His weakness was apparent when he fought Curtis Blaydes who took him down with relative ease. Ngannou's path would potentially be Joshua's path in the marketing/hype side of things in UFC.

I think it all depends on the individual's strengths, weaknesses, gameplan strategy, etc but without proper training Joshua would lose to the elite for sure. I'd give him more of a chance if he learned wrestling which he could i think after a couple of years to a ''tolerable'' decent level. I think it depends on the individual if they can train, learn and adapt.

When i look back at old heavyweights i think the Klitschkos could've been champions in mma. Other boxers not so much.
I think Joshua would have to *become* an mma fighter in every sense and i think he has the work ethic and dedication to do that if the *money* was right. Just cross training for a year isn't enough. He needs to lose 20-25 lbs also if he did.

Boxers overall punch harder than mma guys and train their chins better and also better than kickboxers. Kickboxers kick with proper technique and their legs are stronger and their movement is better for mma. Albeit it's mostly genetic. Boxing stance makes a fighter open to leg kicks and being taken down.

This was the comment i responded too:
"i think the fear of getting your legs broken, or arm popped straight out of your shoulder is worse than getting punched in the face."

Nobody was talking about chokes. Most people here knows a choke can be fatal which is why a lot of law enforcement has stopped using it "officially"
