I won't believe it until I hear the bell for the first round, there are few chances for this fight and Hrgovic must fight before then, and someone from the Top 10 is preferred.

Hrgovic Is a chicken ****, he only has one win over someone in the top 200. He will no doubt fight another in the same class as de mori. He doesn’t deserve a shot at all.

I hope it happens but won't hold my breath. Will be good to see, just how good Hrgovic is, as he's relatively untested other than a fight with Zhang which many thought he lost. Joshua is a level above Zhang as their Olympic fight proved, would be a big step up for Hrgovic.

Hrgovic is also training to fight Usyk as the first reserve for Fury, if he gets another mysterious last minute injury and cannot face Usyk again.

Clearly if Hrgovic ends up fighting Usyk then any AJ fight likely doesn’t happen.

    Who deserves it then?
    • Parker - ducked Hrgovic twice on IBF order, refused to fight him on March 8 for the third time
    • Zhang - ducked Hrgovic for rematch after being publicly called out for Bejing fight
    • Joshua - refused a fight due to Naganou, but he is in the position to refuse, but he did refuse
    • Whyte - ducked Hrgovic on IBF order twice
    • Ruiz - ducked Hrgovic twice for IBF order, priced himself out of the fight in febuary last year
    • Ortiz - ducked Hrgovic IBF order twice
    • Martin - ducked Hrgovic IBF order twice
    • Gassiev - ducked Hrgovic IBF order twice
    • Joyce - twice ducked Hrgovic, now we know why
    • Kabayel - twice ducked Hrgovic on IBF order
    • Sanchez - twice ducked Hrgovic on IBF order
    • Bakole - twice ducked Hrgovic and ruined a deal, that is 3 times
    • Wilder? HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHGHAHAHAHAH

Yoka beat everyone in amateurs, including Hrgovic and Joyce. What does that have to do with anything.

It aint Hrgovic that is being tested, it is Joshua - his opponents are utter garbage, same as WIlders, only Usyk is an outlier. And AJ lost that one.

Let get back on Zhang fight, Joyce was number 3 in the world, he was KO-ed twice. Hrgovc got hit a lot more, for 12 rounds, outchining Joyce, outlanding both Joyce and Zhang, and made Zhang turn his back on him and run away like a coward.

Yeah before mentioning Klitcko, remember that he was old, beaten and spent champion. Joshua got gifted a belt.

AJ v Hrgovic against the winner of Usyk v Fury 2 would be great for boxing.

Hrgovic is the best fighter in the division, but he lacks the experience of big fights, he needs a Top 10 opponent before Joshua so he can fight Joshua.

And Yoka lost to Hrgovic and Joyce in the amateurs also and the wins were close and lets be honest Yoka got some gift decisions. Joshua didn't just squeak a points win over Zhang, he dominated him and dropped him with head gear on, something Hrgovic's best shots couldn't even come close to doing vs Zhang. Joshua is easily the bigger puncher of the two based on their performances vs Zhang.

Lol, Joshua untested, you either are a troll or just another Hrgovic nut hugger.

Joyce was number 3 in the world? Lol not even close, even as a big Joyce fan I never thought he'd beat Fury, Usyk, Joshua, Wilder, at best he was barely top 5 at the time and the Zhang fight showed even that wasn't the case. Yes Hrgovic got hit a lot more, showed a good chin and I thought he beat Zhang but Joshua is another level above the Joyce's, Zhang's etc, he's far more proven than them or Hrgovic.

Now that doesn't mean Joshua will win, all I was saying is that Hrgovic has a lot to prove and is the one stepping up a level, because only a moron would think otherwise.

That won't happen, he seems quite happy to sit on his mandatory until he gets his shot and even if he wanted to face someone good, who would want to fight him. Only fighter that's called him out is Anderson, who let's be honest only did so knowing he wasn't even on the radar as a Hrgovic opponent and is now busy trying to avoid going to jail. Hrgovic unless he wins a title will always be too much risk for too little reward.

The best thing - proved by IBF orders (so fighters team had to do a written rejection of final eliminator)

    Two rounds were in question

    1) Up to Yoka (who was #7) - Bakole sued
    2) Up to Zhang (who was #13)

    Legit ducks

And Joyce won Hrgovic, but got KO-ed by Zhang 2 times, in total not even enduring half of rounds in 2 fights in total. What is your point?

I didnt say Joshua is untested, but it is a test for Joshua, because aside from Usyk (whom everyone thought was mandatory fly to be squashed) Joshua has not been paired with opponent on the level of Hrgovic in his pro career.

Joyce was not number 3 in the world? From what I remember, some were betting their life that he was even number 2. And 99% said he will beat Zhang.

Now that Joyce was outclassed everyone be acting like he was never that hyped, especially on this forum.

Joshua proven? against who- glass chined Parker who beat another fraud called Wilder, fakest champ there ever was. Remember how everybody said (there are many polls) Wilder will KO Parker in first 3 rounds. That aged well, you said the same.

So Fury was exposed by non-boxer, and had to cheat in first Wilder fight, Wilder was exposed by Parker, who was beaten by Joshua,

And Joshua lost to Ruiz and Usyk and was outclassed, what will happen if Joshua faces another real challenge, he failed 2 already.

I cant wait for Usyk to expose Fury, I just wander what will you say next.

Oh I remember how overhyped Joyce was after the Parker win. As a long time Joyce fan, I went from hyping him up as a legit contender to shaking my head when people talked about him being the threat to Joshua, Fury etc. Some fans can't seem to separate their support for a fighter from the reality, as if you are a fan of a fighter you must think he's number 1 or close to it, that's glory hunter, fan boy mentality, plenty of boxing fans can be fans of fighters who are nowhere near the top but that's an alien concept for some I guess and so seem obligated to over hype a fighter if they are a fan of them.

Maybe Joyce was ranked number 3 by some rankings but then Stiverne was top 5 probably at some point. You and me know Joyce was never top 3 no matter what his fan boys said.

How is Joshua not proven? Even if you think he's not which is baffling, he's far more proven than Hrgovic by a huge a margin. Zhang is his best win and wouldn't even rank as a top win for Joshua, especially if Parker goes onto beat Zhang.

    You cannot be serious?

How can the guy be the best in the division when the only top-50 fighter he's fought is Zhang?
You need to be A LOT more proven than that to have any business claiming to be the best in the division.

He needs to be making consistently big fights and get to work - treading water by fighting guys like DeMori is doing nothing for his progression as a fighter OR for his profile to enable him to demand decent paydays from the better known guys.

The avoided fighter is a myth...
The decent, but lesser known fighter who demands too much is quite common.
The fighter who demands too much in order to avoid fights he doesn't want is also quite common.

I don't know which of those groups Hrgovic fits into, but he needs to find his balls and take some risks if he wants to be truly relevant... Sitting around hoping he'll get the chance to lose a very wide decision to Usyk isn't doing his career any good at all.
