Hearn did an interview today about his plan to make AJ vs Hrgovic (instead of AJ vs Wilder) for the vacant IBF title next year. If this fight were to happen, who would you favour to win?
AJ is the more skilled fighter but didn`t look very good in his last fight, however Filip looked even worse, so I think AJ will win via a boring, tentative decision victory.
Hard to say. Hard fight for both for sure. AJ is quicker for sure and got better defence. He have better combination too. I pretty sure he is stronger and better shape. Filip on other hand is skilled big guy who can punch too and got better punch resistans. He is more confident too (never lose). He will be attack pretty intensive. I have no idea if today Joshua can survive this. Close to 50/50 for me if Filip improve in physical strenght (he can)
Joshua had two black eyes and got bloodied by the jab of Robert Helenius. Joshua also doesn't clinch and hold on for dear life and refuse to let go, which is the only way Hrgovic's last opponent lasted as long as he did. I think Filip busts up Joshua. He has much quicker hands. But Joshua has the power to stop Hrgovic. Great matchup. Either could win. 50-50 fight.
Hrgovic was getting clocked my Molinas right hands whenever he threw it . Hrgovic is Hilariously bad Hrgovic was crying turning his back against almost 40 yo Zhang when he got clocked. He robbed Zhang as well. That fight was only closer because of Zhangs inactivity due to stamina - he was controlling the fight. Joshua would KO Hrgovic even in his current gunshy self
Good fight. AJ’s power could give Hrgovic issues, going by the Zhang fight as an indication. Yet, AJ also has stamina issues of his own, not unlike Zhang.
spot on Mark. Similar fighters in a way but Joshua is a bit better all round. And was bad in his last fight but not as bad as Hrgovic was.
Hrgovic starts off well rocking Joshua early but sustains a brutal cut in the third that gets progressively worse. By the sixth round he's getting increasingly ragged before taking a monstrous uppercut that has him holding on for dear life. Between rounds the doctor steps in and decides to call a halt to the contest. Hrgovic stands up and angrily shouts "NO! NO!" to anyone that will listen. Joshua TKO6
