Boxing as a whole wont be "dead" but the HW division will look even more ridiculous than it currently does after Ngannou/Fury. I dont expect Joshua to have an easy time either. No way is Ngannou worse than Jermaine Franklin or old Pulev some random Swede or Finn. AJ hits harder than Fury but he is a worse overall boxer and cant take the shots Fury can take.

Personally I hope Ngannou wins. I'm an MMA fan as well and the HW division in boxing has squandered most of its potential for almost a decade at this point anyway, AJ/Wilder and AJ/Fury should have happened last ****ing decade, just let it all burn.

Zhang is a better fight but this one is interesting. AJ will give Nganu a boxing lesson and win an easy decision. This gives him more ammo to justify the big money Fury fight if Fury beats Usyk.

I expect Usyk to beat Fury but boxing fans have been asking for AJ Fury for a while so I guess there is still value in that fight. Zhang is high risk low reward for AJ so I understand why he’s ducking the man. I still don’t have to like it.

    It would be very funny.

Aside from that, Wlad Klitschko would be left smelling like poop: the two best guys he fought, both of whom beat him by schooling and life and death TKO respectively, scraped a split decision and lost by KO respectively to a "novice". I don't think Wlad's Greco-Roman tactics would work on Ngannou either, so even the forum fantasy matchups wouldn't be straightforward.

You are delusional hater with low IQ probably if You dont see the difference beetwen this two situation.
Fury choosing Ngannou had best fight in whole division to make whenever he want- full unification.
And Fury is champion and numero uno in the world in 80% opinion.

Joshua is not champion, he got not chance to box for belts now and his best fight just disapear because Your fanboys second choose hero sucks soo hard that lose 12-0 to Joseph Parker.

    Don’t be ridiculous.

Yes, it would be embarrassing to AJ and the HW division. But it wouldn’t be dead would it.

There’s still a lot happening in the other divisions.

    Don’t exaggerate.

I don’t think you have anything to worry about. AJ will give Nganu a proper boxing lesson and keep him at the end of that jab. Similar to the Fat Andy 2 fight. Not a fan friendly match but easy money for AJ. Nganu will get the participation trophy after this one and might even get a fight with Wilder. If wilder hasn’t hung up the gloves and gimp suit for good.

I think its a decent fight tbh. Ngannou will feel he has already proven he is no easy fight, and AJ will want to prove the opposite whilst making huge money. Not to mention that an AJ win sets up a potential (dream) Fury Joshua fight perfectly.

I hate the crowds in Saudi just like everyone else, but I love the events they are prepared to create for our entertainment.

The next few years of Heavyweight boxing may just be a golden period when looked back upon in years gone. Here's hoping anyway.

Kudos for AJ/Hearn for this one. I think Joshua wins in 7 rounds or so, with NG looking reasonably decent and not over awed right until the end.
One things for sure, AJ will take this WAAAY more seriously than Fury did.

It would be funny if he goes full meltdown mode and goes on the microphone accusing Ngannou of not playing fair because they agreed for it just to be a sparring session.

Fair play to AJ. There's money to be made. Out of the current top 10 heavyweights, there's not many viable options right now. Maybe Zhang or Dubois but they don't make sense right now.

AJ ought to mallet Ngannou so badly that he becomes a dancing bear in a circus troupe. Joshua is a better boxer with better technique and better power. Moreover, he's not a gym clown like Fury that runs once a year and has to film a documentary on it. He will come in 100% ready.

I've been thinking about AJ's post-match promo if that happens. Some wild quotes going through my mind.
