He can get the opportunity to fight Fury for all the belts, excluding the IBF (plastic crap that got stripped off Fury) Why WOULD he fight Hurgovic is the question. He'll get chinned 100%. Might as well let Fury chin him instead.
Francis Nnganou will shock the world. Eating AJ's right hands for breakfast But that's about as interesting as the fight gets.
Sad for boxing fans but very easy money for Joshua. Hard to blame him from an economic point of view.
Don't like the fact that Ngannou is 0-1. He is solid opponent, but AJ will destroy him. Two gifted athletes and hard working fighters, but one with good amateur background and 30 pro fights (with plenty of them at championship level), and other is a novice at pro game. Ngannou is actually a bit overrated now due to how he performed against Fury, but that was the worst and fattest ever Fury in the ring, and seems like his lifestyle and bad habits finally caught him. No way this version of Fury lasts long against any version of Wlad. AJ will be methodical in breaking down Ngannou. He will dominate and stops Ngannou inside 7.
Seems like a fight made to appeal to the masses, but not necessarily to boxing fans. Honestly, i'd like to see Ngannou fight somebody decent that he can get a win over first, like Wilder or Ruiz, both spent bums but who still carry weight.
If it's in March so not far away I'm not that bothered by this. It has certain freak show interest whilst the fall out from the Fury Usyk fight settles. Joshua should be able to use his powerful combinations to stop Ngannou. By round 8.
Low risk and high reward given he'll earn a big sum and claim he dominated a man that gave Tyson Fury all he could handle. Hrgovic could have been a very difficult fight, especially as Hrgovic is a powerful puncher with good timing, and the last time Joshua faced someone like that unprepared he was beaten easily.
Dumb move from Joshua and Hearn if true. Have a chance at fighting for a title but instead they go in the freakshow direction.
