Well Bus has beaten better then AJ in my eyes and been beaten by less then AJ so it’s a hard one for me.
Tokyo Douglas stops Joshua mid rounds, any other version (or at least versions i've seen) AJ stops him late.
the version that beat Mike Williams, Greg Page, Oliver McCall and Trevor Berbick still beat AJ. You need to see those fights. even the version that lost to Jesé Ferguson and Tony Tucker would beat AJ. The version that lost to Holyfeild, probably anyone can beat. But the point is, Tokyo Douglas was not the only carnation of Douglas that could win fights.
Lazy Douglas wins by late TKO or UD. Tokyo Douglas smacks Joshua silly for 3 rounds & then finishes the show.
It's so bloody hard to pick a result with Douglas!, he's either beating the crap out of AJ or he's dropping to the canvas before the fifth. That's my decision..
AJ would either lay Douglas out with a right hand or murder him with right uppercuts on the inside. It might be competitive until the inevitable.
But he hasn’t beaten any that good has he? Do you think Charles Martin and a retired Vladimir were as good as a prime Oliver McCall? Povetkin in his 40s as good as Tyson was in Tokyo? Breazeal or Pulev as good as Trevor Berbick? We can all play that game. I would pick Jesse Ferguson and Tucker to beat those guys like Takam, Pulev etc. and who beating Douglas that would lose to Ruiz?
AJ by ko is the safe bet since Douglas always had chin issues, I know Joshua does as well but he’s the one with power here. Douglas’ best night was against an opponent who was untrained and at a significant height and reach advantage and he still got floored. Aside from that night Douglas’ career wasn’t very spectacular. Joshua’s the safe bet
