Ive only just found out Miller turned pro in 09.. He needs to gradually make his way up through the levels now though, hes so desperate to be relevant in this division looking for a big payday, hes gonna turn out to be another Charles Martin loud mouth. Lets see how he does against Wach, im gonna back him either way because the more loud mouth unbeaten heavyweights that can back it up in the ring, the better.
Joshua wins by mid-late stoppage, and probably wins every round en route. Miller simply isn't very good, he has solid punch resistance and could walk down a rhino but he doesn't hit very hard at all for a 300lb man, is very easy to hit himself and has a similar skill level to Dillian Whyte. That being said he is probably a top ten name in this pitiful division if he beats Wach, and a pretty good personality if Joshua wants a US debut. If Hearn is adamant about having Wilder/Whyte in the UK as a preliminary I think it's only fair that Joshua mirrors that by raising his US profile beating Miller in New York. Otherwise it's unify or GTFO.
Why doesn't it? He may lose some earnings in the short term, but think about the long term prospects. Bearing in mind that not every fight will be able to match the PPV numbers that Joshua/Klitschko did; do you think Joshua is going to become a boxing billionaire taking £15-20m purses at Wembley/Cardiff? I highly doubt he has the longevity to fight 50+ fights... It's called market expansion, why do you think Hearn has set up Matchroom USA? If Joshua can achieve even close to the same level of fame Canelo has stateside he will drastically increase his global earnings, fact. Miller is a fairly straightforward victory, he refuses to travel and he has a big loud mouth, he's the ideal candidate for Joshua's first US venture. Like I said, if Hearn is adamant that Wilder must face Whyte first then Joshua must face somebody to make sure they keep on the same schedule. Parker is seemingly set to fight Browne and Povetkin/Ortiz aren't going to be picked as a voluntary this side of 40. Who else is available and what better time for Joshua and Hearn to announce themselves in America?
