I hate picking Anthony Joshua to beat Joe Frazier but this might be one of those fights where the far physically superior man triumphs over the smaller yet greater one.
Given the difficulties AJ has had with smaller, quicker, fighters I give Joe a huge chance of chopping AJ down. Yes, it could be short and brutal like the Foreman fights but, and I guess this is a question for the ages ABOUT those fights, if Joe escapes the fates in those early rounds, it could be a long night for AJ. AJ is a very good fighter but he's no young, or old for that matter, George in my opinion and I think Joe is a very slight favourite to stop AJ after the middle rounds.
Fraizer stops him late, aj is just as chinny and he doesn't even use his size to his advantage lol his power is the only big threat here. Do people think Frazier can't dodge a succession of punches after getting dropped ? Especially punches from the most basic textbook heavyweight ?
Other than size and power, Joshua has not more cards to play. His only chance is to caught Smoke flush; but I doubt that is gonna happen. Frazier late stoppage.
Imagine a new song by Wu-Tang: "Can't cope with da smoke, yo!" lol AJ might make it 6 rounds. Joe was too good.
Tbh with you I don't think Joshua has ever knocked out anyone that wasn't a tomato can or a stiff slow old man has he? Joshua's power disappears when he fights lighter quicker fighters or younger fighters who still have all of their reflexes doesn't it?
Joshua right now is not Joshua of 5 years ago or so, the one that fought quite intelligently against Povetkin. Still, Frazier beats either version, and well within the distance. Joshua going back in straight lines, unable to fight on the inside and winging it on defence just isn't going to work against Frazier.
The only smoking happening here is the smoke coming off the edges of the hole that AJ punches through Frazier.
once upon a time I thought Joshua would beat Frazier, then once Joshua's lapses began, I put that thought to bed. Frazier would definitely stop Joshua IMO
