Respect to J Parker being willing to travel and box on the tough British HW scene.
There are several HWs that I dont think would be top 10 rated if they were based in the UK.
I expect there are many HWs that would not be willing to travel to the UK and face a top British HW even if it were for good money.
I expect Joshua to clearly beat Parker but...
    Big respect to Joseph Parker.

Joshua by UD or iffy stoppage. Parker has displayed little improvement over the last 18 months and has struggled considerably in his three most meaningful fights of his career against B class opposition, and to me that's a damning indictment of Kevin Barry's limitations as a trainer. Takam and Ruiz not only took Parker's best shots but also won plenty of rounds between them, effectively pushing Parker on the back foot on more than one occasion.

Joshua holds a significant reach and power advantage over both of those guys and I think that will prove to be the telling difference. Parker has a solid chin though and enough in his punches to keep Joshua honest which is why I think it goes the distance.

****, accidentally voted for Parker UD. @TheDon! can you give us the option to change vote?

imo we know more about joshua v top 20 fighters than we know about parker
we know what joshua does and does not bring to the table.
we know his strenghts and his weaknesses.
he has made improvements / can he keep on improving or has he peaked ?

parker we do not know as much about and thats why its hard to fully predict an outcome.
parkers chin which we are told is teak tough will be the most important factor IN how this fight pans out.

parkers going to need a teak tough chin to be able to deploy a gameplan to allow him to win
get into the pocket / let his hands go / and outwork and outhustle AJ AND tire him out .

but to me its the what if or the fight.

i read on every thread parker has a teak tough chin/ this is unproven to me.
the reason he is of pacific island origin ????

only nz heavies i have seen in competitive heavyweight boxing in my 30 plus years of watching the sport are
    tua
    thunder
    parker

    tua had a great chin
jimmy thunder first time i saw him got ktfo spark out by derek williams
and williams was never a puncher

i think rugby and boxing are getting mixed up

i have watched parker face other pacific islanders on the way up and parker kod them spark out.

these were the next best pacific islanders that parker could face and they all had chins to a man of delicate porcelain.
parkers opposition have all been to be kind arm punchers / not to be kind featherfisted/

takam landed a few nice shots on parker with no effect at all/ but he landed some on joshua as well and joshua walked through them with no effect.
takam is an arm puncher only

i think parker has a chance to win / but equally his chin v genuine power is an unknown and people saying that it is are only guessing.

Parker has size, chin, power and boxing skill to be competitive with Joshua.
Joshua seems to be better in most departments except maybe in chin, but he has proven to overcome sketchy moments more than once.
Still, it's a heavyweight fight. One punch can change everything.
I pick Joshua in a close UD.

Nobody cares who wins. If Joshua took the fight that means that he and Hearn know that he can win. I just want the winner to face Wilder.

Well, it's a test isn't it. These guys are going to answer question no one knows the answers to.

Can JP handle AJ's power? dunno. Does it matter? dunno that either.

Will AJ gass against JP? dunno, JP doesn't set the harshest pace, but AJ gasses against the slowest paced guys around so maybe. Will it matter? Who the **** knows.

May the best man win. Honestly what I am hoping to see more than anything is a stylistic reason for either man to beat either Wilder or Fury. They're both basically stagnant targets. Slow and plodding track fighters that explode in combination when their opponents get close but lack the gap control and general posture game to really exploit weaknesses and embarrass their opponents by shutting them down over twelve like Gypsy King or acheive one punch knockouts like Bronze Bomber. Joshua lacks the skills to take advantage of Wilder's flaws or to get ahead of Fury's pivots. Parker lacks the talent to take advantage of Wilder's lack of pedigree or to force Fury to fight Paker's fight.

You can tell me how about who did what to who, none of that **** matters. Until AJ shows that he can pivot there's no reason to believe he can. Until Parker shows he can read baits that have a smidge more guile than a simple feint there's no reason to believe he can.

With Fury's return these guys just became second tier. I'm all about Wilder vs Fury.

I British so maybe I'm bias and can't see it but I genuinely e believe Joshua wins, also home advantage will be huge.

But I'm not disrespecting, overlooking or under rating Parker.

I really like Parker, I wouldn't be surprised in the slightest if Parker stopped Joshua, he can punch, is young, game and hungry, that's a dangerous combination.

If it wasn't a British ref, I'd say Joshua close UD but the ref is bound to step in at some point after a Joshua flurry

Had this fight happened a couple of years ago it would of been a pick em fight as Joshua still had a ton of flaws to go with the ones he has now. But in that time Joshua had improved dramatically while Parker has stagnated.

Parker might have some success early but I think as the fight progresses Joshua will gradually take over and either stop Parker late or win a clear decision.

Don't rate Parker very average fighter doesn't have any thing special.AJ will stop him early probably with parker trapped on the ropes as Joshua wails away at him waiting for the ref to stop it.If Parker can take the fight late he could win as AJ runs out of puff but I doubt it .Joshua still has question marks but Parker isn't the one to answer them.
