Parker is a come forward flat foot flooted attacker who doesn't have the size to mix it against Joshua, nor any defensive agility . He gets blown away.
Joshua will not have any trouble being able to hit Parker and an opponent who cannot avoid Joshua's punches will get murdered. Joshua is all wrong for Parker, too big and too strong.
Same could be said for Joshua. Joshua got closer than any of his fans would like or would like to admit against a 3rd class opponent. Guess we'll just watch and see, eh?
Joshua isn't the full package , but he's a massive brute force who will be too much for any small come forward guy like Parker to over come. Fury has the style to beat AJ. And there isn't many movers like Fury in the division.
deal In a few years from now this will look as silly as Seth Mithcell v The Furious One when they was both prospects, after Parker is exposed as a hype job and Joshua conquerors the world
I agree that Fury is a harder style match up for Joshua than Parker. We saw Joshua struggle at times with the movement of Savon and Dychko at the Olympics and Fury has shown he can move quite well and use that big reach. That's my biggest concern with Joshua, how well does he cope with movement. Parker's style would see him go right at Joshua which may work if he can force Joshua back but Joshua is such a big guy and so powerful that isn't going to be easy. If Parker get's forced back he'll be in trouble, but he'll always have a punchers chance.
AJ has it over Parker at range I think, but if things get forced back and in an exchange - AJ looks so far to me like he panics a bit when things get furious, if things turn into an exchange of blows in close I can see Parker doing some damage to AJ's body and wearing him down a bit then increasing the likelyhood of a accumulated damage KO. Parker's speed and combos when things get a bit messy are beyond anything I've seen from AJ, let alone seen AJ have to contend with and I think that's a thing people are overlooking. AJ winning means getting Parker with a clean shot in the middle of the ring at range, Parker winning means the fight going rounds or a battle erupting in a corner. IMHO. In terms of size, I know not the same level but still - Kali Meehan was 6ft6 and Dan Martz 6ft7, watch the fights with those guys... hearing Parker billed at 6ft4 makes it seem like he'll be a little guy against people of that size but it certainly doesn't seem that way when you see them in the ring. It's an advantage, but one that is being overstated in this case.
