Lewis would KO AJ early. This would not be a competitive fight.

And somebody said Wilder is like a pre-Manny Lewis. That is laughable. Wilder has a right hand, period.
He also would lose to Lewis in any part of his career.

And yes, Lewis beat Vitali. I'm sure that will come up at some point.

I’d go with Lewis but it would be more competitive than people think.

Pre-Steward Lewis might get caught, but I can see him stopping Joshua in 3 or 4.

Steward Lewis stops him later on, maybe 8. Does it more artfully.

Nah Lewis is the far better boxer in my opinion it isn't even close. I don't think even pre-Steward Lewis would lose to any version of AJ we've seen.

Lewis was simply more skilled, better stamina, better lateral movement, better head and upper body movement, his jab was light years ahead of AJ's jab, watch The Mixed Martial Artists recent video on Youtube on Lewis jab, his Jab has so many different techniques. Comparing AJ's jab to Lewis' is like comparing a paper airplane to a stealth bomber there is no comparison.

AJ has better fundamentals but Lewis is one of those boxers where they have advanced enough that they can abandon some fundamentals to their advantage much like other greats have like Ali, Mayweather, RJJ, Whitaker and Fury etc. AJ is still too text book to out box the rangier more agile Lewis.

Joshua wouldn't even beat prime Wladmir or Vitali. Joshua is not at his peak yet, he still has quite a lot to learn.

Give Joshua 2-3 years and then decide, but this version of Joshua gets outjabbed, outboxed and KO'd in 5 against Lewis.

I don’t really like doing this until a guys career is over so we can assess him in the round taking everything in. The only thing we can say with certainty for now is that AJ is the better athlete of the both though with faster feet, Lewis skills are probably fundamentally better. Lewis has a better jab for sure both throw good right hands especially the devastating uppercut.

Anyone would look fast next to a morbidly obese blob in Ruiz and Pudding Pulev. When has Joshua ever shown this so called great athleticism I keep hearing about?

This is common flowchart for his fans.
While facts are these: Lewis too isn't undefeated and nothing wrong with this. Boxer with lost fights in record might be more notable than boxer with 0 in fight record.
Lewis initially had agreed to do rematch vs Vitali and I think most likely cos this might been xx xxx xxx digits pay check.
The best proof how " bad, overvalued etc" Vitali was is that he later changed his mind and had retired from fighting.
Lewis had retired when he was 38 y.o.
    Vitali at age 38 had 3, at age 39 2 fights, at age 40 - 2 fights, age 41 - 1 fight.

Actually I value both these : Vitali and Lewis as equal, especially cos Lewis had legit Olympic Gold medal and he was true ammy boxing suprestar too, not only pro champ.

    I too a bit.
I think that if he now was in prime I might gave him approx 60% chances to become Undisputed.
Unless Wilder who was sitting on 1 one from 4 major titles did not had title and did not fought with him.
Lewis was damn explosive for his size and this matters a lot.
Yeah, he might lost fights but if he now was in his prime shape, he did had I think not less than 60% chances to become Undisputed. Not only beat A.J one alone.

People are over rating Lewis and under rating Joshua.

Lewis at 6'5 245lbs was considered a giant in the 90s, that's almost average nowadays. His main rivals in that era were a lot smaller than him. He used the classic Steward jab and grab tactics a lot which wouldn't work on the bigger Joshua. He used his size advantage a lot just like Wlad did. Lewis to my knowledge has never been dropped and got up again, certainly not to go on to win the fight like Joshua did against Klitschko. This implies poor powers of recovery.

Lewis couldn't knock out or even knock down the 215lb Holyfield and Mavrovic.

You can't compare Joshua to Bruno, he has much better footwork, faster hands, more technical skills and is bigger.

    I see this as a 50 50 fight.

A.J had in the ring really old big name not fighter even close to prime Wlad.
Fury too had fought over the hill Wlad and surprisingly when he had fight vs 33 y.o then undefeated Pulev, some Wlad's fans had accepted that Pulev does have real chances to win 37 y.o Wlad. Age difference, undefeated opponent and like this.

    Holy= skilled and tough material.
Giant old Valuev too didn't had finished him.
