I don't see this as a 50/50 fight. Size shouldn't be an argument because Aj isn't bigger then Lewis, only 1 inch taller, As a matter of fact Aj in his latest fight weighed 241 and Aj will stay at this weight because he moves better and has a better gas tank. Prime Lewis weighed more, at around 245 and even tipped the scales at 247 to 250. Lewis was far more agressive than Wlad against other SHWs in his era such as Vitali, Biggs, Grant and Akinwande.

Aj looks so impressive because he throws quick textbook combinations against second-rate fighters like Pulev and Takam (although his pull counter against Pulev was impressive), but against Povetkin and Parker he was a lot more gunshy and didn't look as impressive because they could fight well at close range

Lewis would be the one pressing the action in this hypothetical fight and he's not going to over commit like Pulev did. If both fought in their primes the closest thing this fight would resemble would be a mix between Frank Bruno vs Lennox Lewis and Shannon Briggs vs Lennox Lewis but remember Lewis was nowhere near his prime in the Bruno fight. Shannon Briggs can actually counter quicker than Aj and has faster combinations but Aj is better at almost everything else. In this instance best believe Aj is going to be gunshy because Lewis is far more agressive than prime Wladimir let alone the grandfather Wlad than gave Aj the fight of his life. Aj has improved since then no doubt but has he improved that much ? Wlad destroyed Pulev in 5 rounds While Aj took 9 against a far older Pulev. I dont know. We'll see what happens with Fury. This hypothetical fight would be competitive but Lewis takes him out late rounds

Lennox Lewis, the last undisputed heavyweight champion and the last lineal champion. I still think LL wipes the floor with the top 3 guys right now. He moved a lot better and seemed more skilled to me. AJ moves like a robot and Fury hasn't fought anyone else of note other than aging Klitschko and limited Wilder.

Mercer and Rahman would have both KO'd the robotic and mentally weak Joshua

So mentally weak that he took an rematch with Ruiz and won despite a ton of pressure on him to do so?

    Please..

Yeah he was on his bike for 12 against a fat tub of lard that lewis would have done away with in 3 rounds. When AJ stood toe to toe with Ruiz he folded

Eh i don't know, Ruiz has some fast ass hands. Lewis probably wouldn't fight aggressively against Ruiz, not that he couldn't because he exchanged with Mercer, Holyfield and Briggs and he'd come out on top against Ruiz. But realistically I think Lewis would fight at range. it would honestly go similar to the Tua fight except Lewis would eventually knock Ruiz out after landing long range bombs. I'd say mid rounds. Joshua was definitely not keen to trade though. Lewis wouldn't be as cautious but he'd still fight a smart fight

I think Ruiz handspeed is getting absurdly overrated personally. Granted I don't think Lewis stands close range but I think he bombs him put. quickly. I think the Tua comparison is fair although id argue Tua was more mobile and had a better chin than Ruiz

Whilst not eye catching, there are more than one ways to win a boxing match

Going toe to toe isn't the rule in this sport is it? if it was Floyd would be broke

He had huge pressure on him to carry out that plan and win and did so

That's not a mentally weak person

    You're exactly right ArseBandit.

Joshua clearly has no heart. A true champion would have got up after that 4th knockdown and taken a beating like Patterson, Firpo and McVey all rolled into one. Long term consequences be damned.

Fancy thinking the fight is over after being Knocked Down 4 times. hahaha - what a loser mentality!
Not for me, maybe after 7 knock downs I'll allow it. But giving up after 4?!
    What a quitter!

He should have been willing to die in the ring, like Deontay Wilder. Damn that Mark Breland. He's a quitter too! Fancy throwing the towel in?! That is why McCracken is a great coach, he would have let Joshua get knocked out in there, or even better...

    You know, for the fans!

Whether Tua had a better chin is still open to debate.

So far Ruiz has only been knocked down once. And it was by a Joshua who had a better KO rate than Wilder going into that fight.
Ruiz got up straight away and looked more surprised than hurt.

Tua suffered two knock downs in his career. One at the tail end of his career (let's disregard that one). But another one came in his prime on the final bell against Rahman. It wasn't counted as the bell had rung, but if we watch the tape Tua was still happily unloading on Rahman and was mid-combination when he went down off a Rahman left hand.
Tua got up straight away, but looked a bit dazed in the corner (but to be fair to him it was on the final bell).

So I think making a call at this time as to who has the better chin is a bit premature.
If Ruiz fights Wilder and takes his best punches...we will probably talk about his ATG chin too.
