Ducked the question, how many matches have you seen? AJ fighting Martin's leftovers two months later speaks volumes. Martin tenderized him. You do know people sometimes get rounds in right?
Watch some more, and think a little more objectively.:deal Styles make fights, Martin has a potentially horrible style for AJ, watch AJ vs Cammerelle, and add 2 or 3 inches in height and multiple the punching power.

Speed is handy, power is too, but when it comes down to it, if the shots are landing the points are racking up. Martin seems slow, but you need to look back on his fights, he doesn't punch like many HWs. He is hard to read when he throws a punch. This gives less time for the opposite fighter to move and read the shots that are coming. They get tenderised.
