This would be a good test for Joshua. Wach is a big, tall, hard punching HW with an iron chin. He would definitely give Joshua some rounds.
Does Wach get to take steroids or not? Without them, the ref stops it after about 7. With them he takes a sustained beating from Joshua for the full 12. Wach is arguably the least skilled fighter, Ive ever seen fight for a title at ANY weight
Agree If both keeps winning that would be an excellent fight for next autumn. Wach needs also 1 or 2 wins vs some better fighter before
Wach is a very big strong and durable fighter. A good left jab and a huge powerful right hand. I think if they fought now Wach would beat him.
Why are people talking like Wach is a credible fighter? He'll be good for Joshua to get some rounds, and thats it.
I know getting started in your first 10 fights you'll fight some tomato cans but dam.... That's a little ridiculous... looks like he should be hangin with Shane Mosley Jr....
But the heavyweight division is so bad that 90% of the top 20 are tomato cans. So whilst Joshua is young and just starting out, the weak state of the division means that his handlers can afford to move him along a little quicker than you would in other divisions. Lennox Lewis won the European title in just his 14th fight and a World title in his 23rd, and that was the division was stacked.
He'd definitely take him deeper than he has been before and probably take him the distance, Wach showed a very good chin against Wlad. I'd favour Joshua but it would be a risky fight to take at such an early point as Wach can clearly hit hard. Kevin Johnson would be a better opponent, he's durable yet with his low work rate and underwhelming power isn't any kind of threat.
