Anthony Joshua Vs Martin Bakole

I wouldn't say that Joshua boxed Parker or Ruiz's ears off. I'm not sure if you seriously believe that. Boxing someone's ears off is what Mayweather did time and again, and what Usyk did to Joshua the first time around.

There's a reason he retired straight after. Joshua looks the same old to me. It's just that he has a ceiling much lower than what was advertised. No harm in that. It's certainly not his fault and he's made the most of it.

Not sure how old you are, 'Philosopher', but you'd need to be as old as Plato to refer to Joshua as a child. Just kidding, mate.

 

OK, I concede boxing their ears off is probably the wrong saying if we are being pedants, and why not? But for both of those fights he got behind his boxing, was defensively prudent, followed a game plan that did not involve taking the other fellas head off...and against Usyk in fight two he looked a force...unless we are saying Usyk ain't all that which seems rather foolish. I stand by my comment the Wlad who fought AJ would beat Bakole, probably KO him because guys, Martin is green. He ain't all that...yet. slow, ponderous, has a wonderful array of unusual punches which he will land if you stand in front of him, which only an idiot would do. The two guys in the ring when AJ and Wlad fought would, in my opinion, beat Bakole right now.

And 56. So AJ is a kid. I was twenty when he was born. And, the kid can fight. Not as well as half the country thought. And I'm no fan, no fan boy. But he is seasoned compared to Bakole.

 

Bakole ends AJ's career inside 6 rounds.

Bakole is a good fighter "but doesn't bring the dollars". I thought the notion was that Joshua could fight a tailor's dummy and sell out Wembley? What changed?
