What on earth is this? Ali's resume is far above Joshua's. I can't see how you can even write that paragraph; would beating Breazeale, Martin, Whyte, Cornish, and Leo do anything for Ali's resume? You at least ought to know that harping on "undefeated" when discussing modern vs old boxers is completely meaningless. Joshua's had a good start to career, but he has a long, long way to match Ali's achievements.
So in 18 fights, has Joshua, or has Joshua not fought a far tougher level of opposition, than Ali at 18 fights?
"0" in the record didn't mean anything back then, you spastic. Fighting 20 club fighters to built up a record was what would've been laughed out of the arena. A guy like Gary Cornish or even Charles Martin wouldn't have gone through 15 fights without half a dozen losses, and a guy who has never beaten a top25 HW would've been a laughable title contender. You went through boxrec, looked at fighters records and tried to grade fighters based on the # of losses. You implied that having less losses means being a better fighter, and the Greatest boxer in the history having 19 losses shows how idiotic, ******ed, moronic and ignorant your argument is.
No, you're ignoring the points and moving tjthee goalposts....using the arguments put forth, and the suporting examples of Ali struggling with fighters at physical disadvantages defeats the argument Joshua wins based on his physical advantages. It's a self defeating argument. Saying Ali struggled against guys shorter and 20 pounds lighter as evidence joshua wins based on his physical characteristics actually strengthens the argument that smaller men can beat bigger men instead of supporting it.
No, he hasn't actually. Fighting Doug Jones, a clear top 5 fighter, was more significant than any Joshua fight. But the debate was not about Ali's first 18 fights, it was about his whole career. You wrote a comparison which suggested that Joshua's record was better than Ali's!!!!! I don't disagree that Joshua could go on to become an ATG, but it's utter lunacy to suggest that he's already fought better opposition than Muhammad Ali. Another correction: the first undefeated fighter Ali faced was Billy Daniels (16-0), whom he KO'ed.
I like Joshua a lot. I think he's probably the best heavyweight right now. But I think Joshua would need an oxygen tank and five minutes between rounds to go 15 fast-paced rounds. If Joshua's plan to beat Ali was to score an early knockout, he'd be doomed. Because that happened exactly NEVER. You have to be prepared to win by KO or by decision. Not just look for an early KO. And if you're talking about the Ali who weighed 210, that guy could dance and move and throw a lot of punches for 15 rounds. Joshua has never even gone half that far in a fight.
He would need to be no less than 218/220 pounds..this is needed for punishment absorbtion, he knew this going against Foreman thats why he weighed less than 4 pounds than him for punch resistance. Ali would certainly need the jab, this is a Wlad Klitchko simulation here, but Ali doesn't have power to slow Joshua or make him worry....his only chance of winning is just like Wlad .One problem is pressure guys force Ali straight back with little circling, now Joshua is on you? Even if he tried to use the circle footwork,Joshua isn't a dummy to just follow him he will cut that ring off and fast. I honestly don't know how he could win ,but having AJ run into something Liston style. He cant lay on the ropes long,Joshua is a killer there,he cant clinch , Joshua is to big to control and loves short shovel shots, Ali is left with HOPING he counter punches a shot with enough force to hurt Joshua coming forward with the counter right hand,he usually threw that after someone jabbed. The odds of this is SLIM. Really hes got no up on AJ here but a Joshua mistake. you couldn't find a worse opponent for him. Frazier limited Alis circling with his own hooks after slipping punches by simply getting close,Joshua wouldnt even need that with him covering greater distance and able to throw hooks from far out.Ali is very outmatched here. i give him like a 10 % chance of winning, there's just to many disadvantages for him here. If he had one shot power it would be much more believable for me, but Joshua is a solid technition looking past everything else he has ,despite what anyone tells you,he does everything right and his physical attributes would be Ali's nightmare. Ali would need a huge prayer more than anything, because he NEEDS Joshua to run into something and as i stated before hes getting harder to hit.
Sh!t GALVATRON, If you're not a man who knows what he's talking about, you do a good impression of one. I'm sold. Verdict: Joshua KO
Audley Harrison, after 18 fights, arguably beat better competition than Joshua has. And Audley was more impressive winning the Gold Medal, too. A lot of good that did Harrison. Joshua is a very talented heavyweight. But he's just started his career. In his next outing, Joshua could conceivably lose to a 41-year-old who hasn't won a fight in two years. He's just getting started. Don't get ahead of yourselves. There are too many heavyweights to count who started out strong after 18 fights ... and nobody is talking about them anymore. Joshua won his title from arguably the worst fighter to ever hold a heavyweight belt. He's got MILES to go and a TON to prove. He might get there ... but he isn't there yet.
