    They know fine well Joshua punches levels above Liston. If they believed Liston did punch harder they would at the very least come back with some reasoning why Liston only had a 68% KO rate when he faced Ali.

    The only possible explanation you could give that Liston punched harder dispite only having a 68% KO rate against Ali, is that Liston was levels below Joshua in boxing skill levels, and could not land his punches like Joshua. None of them are going to run to use that explanation now are they. Lol

    Liston was not nearly as fast as he was a few years earlier,ppl want to ignore he wasnt in his prime and had injuries.IF Liston would have fought Ali at a few years younger (if ) he could would be close fight. And Liston vs Joshua ends quick and brutal,Liston would come straight at him....good night!

    That is a good point I remember thinking Liston and Williams looked quick during their fights. People try and play down the fact that Liston wanted to delay the fight because of a shoulder injury, but play up that Ali had a broken jaw against Norton. You can't have it both ways.

    In other words you can't explain how Liston punches harder than Joshua, yet only had a 69% KO rate against Ali.

    I never said Liston punches harder, I said I'm not convinced Joshua punches harder.

    A lot of fighters got stopped in the ams but went on to exhibit decent chin in the pros. I think the most worrisome amateur fight of his was the Savon fight, where he had all sorts troubles with speed,movement and a good jab. And he certainly wasn't able to counter over the jab.

    Yeah just winding James up...having said that if the Likes of Foreman...Shavers or Tyson landed Flush on Joshua's Chin it would be Goodnight Nurse I think.!!!!
