Ali outgrew his opposition more so than Wlad and AJ. Especially 60's Ali. Real size bully.

For a couple of the Joshua apologists writing here this thread is less about a serious assessment of two boxers from very different eras, but rather a 'one eye open, one eye closed' hero worship bordering on obsession. Yeah, one eye. Which one, I'll leave up to you. But you can't put glasses on it....

Lol! Going by your description of Joshua is like you have never seen him fight before.

On the contrary small, weak and chinny Ali would be perfect early KO opponent for Joshua.

Yes he looked very elusive vs Norton and Frazier when he lost to them both. Foreman is a substandard skilled slugger, Joshua is the best boxer puncher in history.

Way too early to make those claims about Joshua. He could well be knocked out Saturday given the fragility he displayed vs an over the hill and inactive Klitschko.

He beat the best version of the other best boxer puncher, so it’s true.

No, he beat an inactive 41 y/o in a life and deather. Prime WK knocks him out.

Have you ever seen Wladimir fight better against any opponent?

I give credit to Joshua for being so badly hurt and recovering late. I only need to go back a few years to the Pulev fight for a better WK performance. Only took one hard jab and demolished the guys 0.

And you think that makes Joshua look good? A 41-year-old former champion, who hadn't fought for 18-months, according to you boxing the best he ever has against AJ. That's damning your boy with very feint praise, you do know that don't you? If Joshua was half the fighter you think he is, Wlad would not have looked as good as you yourself admit.

Now go finish your paint-by-numbers, scratch-and-sniff AJ portrait....

How in the **** did this thread get 1300 posts? 1290 9f the posts were from James that’s why. Only today can boxing fan say that a guy with 20 fights beats a retired deceased legend. This is why they’d rather see Whyte Wilder than Wilder Joshua. This type of reasoning.

Joshua was pre prime during the fight with Wlad. Not that experienced. Learned a few tricks the hard way. Came in to heavy etc. But the one thing I really like about Joshua, is his killer instinct, street smarts (like when he did get down as fast as possibly to avoid the following left hook) Also his adaptability on the fly. Like when he saw what Klitschko was doing earlier and timed it perfectly with the uppercut. All this little things just adds up to his overall boxing skills long term. Even when Joshua starts to fade physically - say by the age of 36+ - he can still be a great champion just based on his experience and skillset alone.

Parker will face a smarter and much better prepared Joshua than what Klitschko did. I feel like this was also one of the main reasons that Wlad didn't want the rematch, despite doing great but falling in his last but honorable performance. The twilight window of opportunity for him was about to be closed this time.

I can assure you a troll like yourself will be off of here before a discussion of the current top HW vs Ali.....

The mod himself thinks Usyk is better than any current HW, if that's not reaching , I believe there's plenty of room of absurdity all around the board! :eatingburger
