Foreman , Frazier, Liston , Shavers, Tirrel , Williams.

Who did AJ beat that makes a case for him beating Ali?

styles make fights, and Ali would whoop Joshua's butt so bad he'd have to spend a week in the hospital. Alis movement would be a nightmare for Joshua. Nobody that Joshua has fought could prepare him for what Ali brings to the table. Fighting an old klitschko isn't anything great and that might just be the best fighter Joshua has faced in his career so far. Its still a watchable fight, but only because of the curiosity factor, and many of us seem to think a young champion will rip to pieces the old fighter who didn't know when to hang them up. Marciano tore up plenty of fighters who were well past there use by dates, but we all know that things could of been very different if he had of fought them in their primes.

Foreman was not the most skilled boxer in the world, and is much smaller than AJ, and Ali did struggle with him.
Frazier is tiny compared to all of AJ's opponents and actually knocked down and beat Ali in his prime, so no idea how that fight proves anything.
Liston is tiny, old and slow.
Shavers actually beat Ali if you watch that fight instead of just looking it up on Boxrec. Showing your lack of boxing knowledge there.
Terrel is probably the best example even though he is built like a match stick with little power, more of a dirty brawler.
Williams was practically handicapped when he fought Ali, badly damaged leg, 13 ft of intestine removed, even Ali said he was completely shot before the fight, and how he wanted to go easy on him and put him out his misery early.

It's the facts Joshua destroyed the same level of opponents Ali struggled with, and almost lost against. That is undeniable.

The right blend of skills and style can overcome even huge disparities in size.

What you're yet to work out, is than Joshua's size could actually have worked against him.

How would Mike Tyson have fared against Joshua? I guess you think he'd only have lasted a matter of seconds due to the size disparity?

It's not simple though is it.

Size and strength alone don't win boxing matches.

What would the size disparity have been between AJ and Mike Tyson? From what I've seen so far, a mid 80's version of Mike would have gotten inside and taken him out. I'll hold that opinion until I see more of him.

Regarding a fight against Ali, Ali would have been up on his toes, giving him feints and angles, and AJ would have needed to have pinned him down to get off his power shots. Unless he'd have caught him early, Ali's movement would have emptied his tank. His awesome physique could well have started to work against him, turning an advantage into a disadvantage. That's an awful lot of mass to carry around the ring, trying to time a guy with great footwork.

Anyone who thinks it would be a foregone conclusion based on size, is an absolute fool.

Tell us again how AJ would have beaten Ali in a sprint.

    Haha!

    Comedy gold.

    Log off you f*cking clown.

    A few rounds?

    Oh dear.

Why don't you give us a breakdown on how he'd have coped with Ali's footwork?

    We're all waiting.

    What's your answer?

Is it: "Erm..because he's much bigger and stronger"

    ?

    The guy has done NOTHING!

His biggest win was against Whyte.

Yet that's apparently enough to suggest Ali couldn't make it past a few rounds?

This is a shockmaster type post.

Anthony Joshua...no disrespect but......he would come out of the fight looking like Jeff Lacy. 'Did anybody get the number of the car ( Lamborghinni)that just ran over me..and over me....and over me"

You can't say for sure one way or the other, but if you held a gun to my head and made me pick I'd probably have to go with Joshua.

I do not like Joshua vs Zaire Foreman, anybody who gets knocked out by Laurie Okolie or Price with 16oz gloves on is getting decapitated by Foreman. So Ali takes it.

After reading this forum for awhile, I realise there are threads that are better left alone because the divide between the 2 sides are too big, both have very vocal and extreme views and neither are open to commonsense. First is the GGG Canelo saga, and the other one is this ONE.
