No, he did not had fought in the ring more than year before this fight and was 41 y.o.
Also 39 y.o Pov is not better even for current CW top, not alone HW top.
Yes, prime Pov had lost only vs Wlad, who then was not enough old and had bunch with different belts and they went all distance.
Over the hill Pov had lost vs A.J, thank's matchmaking was proper here. Holy pride. LOL.

Then shadow of Pov had draw vs Hunter and ghost of Pov had finished Whyte being 40 years 11 months old.
Best recent british boxing achievement at HW is: A.J needs 9 rounds to finish 39 y.o Pulev and Whyte finish 41.5 years old post covid small HW uncle in Povetkin.
This is what this is here.

Well, if you really need loud surnames on record, maybe it is really worth to book also Holmes, Tyson and Holyfield to fight with.
How hypocrite are all talks about injuries and age, ring rust and so on if this is not western boxer.
I will remind you that western icon Ali was walking boxing bag at age of 38, Lewis had retired after his fight vs Vitali, I do know what shitting will continue here, Lewis looked in this fight like piece of garbage LOL, and I laugh at his fans insisting about how much better than Vitali he was there, it is fun and laugh for free, better than liter with whiskey. LOL.
Marciano had retired when he was 32, Ward 33?, DLH 36.

Only EE origin boxers are in their prime even if they are 40+ for sure here.

While for me Holmes in 1988 was not prime, for a lot of ppl he was.
If so then Holmes also had beated up prime Ali and no place for excuses.
If someone steps in the ring for paycheck he should be in PRIME.
This if you take this approach.

I btw damn more well lenient regards to this to western boxers, LOL.

The corruption is so monolithic and obvious that if Usyk doesn't go for the kill in the mid-late rounds, he's throwing the fight. He doesn't punch like GGG or Kovalev weight for weight but AJ isn't a strong-chinned, intelligent, well conditioned or slick fighter like Clenelo or Ward. 3 KD's or less and you break his heart too.
