I’ve always thought the Wilder-Fury trilogy would age like milk

so much guff talked about those two over the years

    "my opinion on Wilder"

Back in 2018/2019 you were rating Wilder as a top 3/top 4 heavyweight "on resume" and "top 10 in any era". I've saved the posts. If you had been consistent in your opinion then that would be one thing but you've consistently moved the goalposts to suit your favoured (Matchroom) fighters.

I really can't understand how people can't comprehend that last night's Wilder turns 39 next year and has fought 1 round in 2 years of the back of a couple of horrendous beatdowns is a far cry from the fearsome much avoided Wilder that fought Fury 5 (five) years ago.

All credit to Parker last night, great performance and the night belongs to him but to say that it destroys Furys resume is stretching it to say the least. Styles make fights. This is the same Parker that was systematically dismantled and had to be scraped of the canvas by 'finished' Joe Joyce only last year. Does that now make better than them all.

I genuinely can't wait for the day Fury & AJ retire, sick of the constant BS by casuals whenever 1 of them fights, like football fans 'my team is better than yours'

Wilder has looked like garbage at every stage of his career though. in fact, this fight was almost exactly like Ortiz 2, only that Parker never switched off

this was the first decent opponent Wilder fought who wasn’t Fury or a geriatric. his real level has been shown.

In 6 fights against Ortiz, Fury and Parker… Wilder pretty much lost every round in which he never scored a knockdown. Nobody doubts the power but honestly one of the most crude and unskilled champions in history.

Wilder threw the right hand a hell of allot more against Ortiz.

Against Parker he couldn't even pull the trigger.

    Night and day difference.

Let’s be honest bud, they only really have Joshua to come to the party with. Their 2 other boxers on the bill are hardly making waves. Bivol is a frustrating boxer to watch and I would much prefer Beterbiev to win their fight.

    Wilder is completely shot mate.

Joshua number 2 because he beat wallin, Franklin and helanious lol come on now.

Let's see what happens when Joshua fights someone who hits him back again.

The way I see it there's these options.

Zhang - would they risk it.
Dubious - can crack and showed surprising bottle.
Kabayel - was supposed to be fighting Joshua last night for some reason didn't.
Hergovic - didn't he say he'd wait for the result of the fury usyk rematch?
Parker - hopefully better ref this time but shite fight anyway.
Ngannu - turned him down twice.
Joyce - maybe Zhang just has his number.

Not to forget the little fat Mexican which is only one one.

Regarding fury we shall see what happens in February.

I reckon he's got one last hurrah left.
