I’ve been consistent in saying it. I hope I’m wrong because I want to see it but I just have a feeling Fury won’t take a dangerous fight like Usyk. The debacle against Ngannou just amplified my scepticism. I was stunned when the fight was announced and I think Fury will pull out injured.

I’ll hold my hands up if I’m completely wrong, like I said I hope to eat humble pie on this.

I'd be surprised if he didn't face Usyk. Clearly something going on in Saudi woth boxing and he won't want to lose out on that oil money. You don't make deals with these guys and back out

It was an impressive performance by AJ but let’s not get ahead of ourselves. Wallin is a tier 3 opponent, I don’t think it’s changed much in terms of the landscape.

Hearing bollcoks that the AJ last night would beat Usyk which is very ludicrous

I don't rate Wallin... He's bided his time waiting for a bigger name to slip and gambled on the win.

He didn't ever look like getting it.
Wallin clame to fame is causing Fury a few problems with a huge cut and al some good shots late in the fight but Fury was beating the tar out of him at times. Wallin is neat and tidy with almost 0 power who's best win is a an old cruiserweight.

AJ looked sharp, quick and landed some good power shots. That early straight right to the body was a sickner. As soon as the corner saw Wallin take a few big hits they pulled him out.

Good win for AJ he's looked slightly better each time out since his last defeat and the big fights against Fury etc are back on the table.

Wilder looked exactly like you would expect. Rusty, unsure and slow. He's 38 most of his power came from his slingy fast action. If that's gone then he may as well quit..hsve a feeling he might have 1 fight against a gimme and if he wins that look to fight AJ. Amazing what 2 fights do for the landscape of the division.. We may still see Fury V AJ.

Fury Usyk is a pick em and if Fury's legs have gone he probably looses.

    It's not that complicated.

    1. Fury. Schooled Wlad in Germany, ended the Klitschko era, dethroned long-reigning Wilder in America and KO'd him again, unbeaten.

    2. Usyk. Schooled Joshua twice in his preferred locations of London and Saudi, former undisputed cruiserweight champion, unbeaten.

The top 2 are scheduled to fight next, determining who finishes on top of the era.

3./4. Wilder/Joshua. Former long-reigning champions with three losses apiece, lost twice to Fury and Usyk respectively, also lost to Parker and Ruiz respectively. Wilder is 4 years older and finished. Joshua is on the outside looking in, reliant on someone above him throwing him a bone.

5./6. Hrgovic/Zhang. Had a 50-50 fight, look like the best current contenders along with Joshua. Could potentially beat any of the guys above them.

Which let’s be honest means little, especially if he wins a vacant strap tossed away by a proper champion. A undisputed champion. It’s worthless in the grand scheme of things.

That's the irony. He's never beaten "the man" and has lost three times, despite careful career management and an array of A-side advantages. Now he's dependent on one of the top 2 doing him a favour and could easily lose to Hrgovic for a lot less money.

You are correct that Joshua doesn't beat Usyk. Though Usyk is certainly slowing down, so if they met again in 2025, who knows...

About Wallin, I think Joshua deserves a lot of credit for the manner of the win. Wallin was ranked #4 by TBRB and just made very easy work of Gassiev. He was also hyped by a lot of Fury's fans. Many thought he would beat Whyte, and he was being ducked by much of the division.

So I can only guess that you mean he is tier 3 in the same way that
    Tier 1 = Usyk
Tier 2 = Zhang, Joshua, Fury, Hrgovic
Tier 3 = Wallin, Parker, Joyce, Ruiz, Whyte
Tier 4 = Wilder, Dubois, etc. (maybe Ngannou?)

As I say I don't think Joshua beats Usyk. But I don't have any issue with Hearn hyping his guy following an emphatic win over a guy that was ranked extremely highly by the "independent" boxing press

    Edit: forgot Ruiz

Best Joshua has looked for years.

Standard wilder performance, get out of jail right hand didn’t land this time.

Fury fanboys struggling to compute what this means for his resume.

I don't get this, doesn't mean anything for Fury. Wilder is a shell of the man from the second fight, and it was pretty obvious Fury had put little work in for the 3rd

Explain in like you’re explaining it a golden retriever or a child. Thanks in advance
