If Derek was banned from the presser im ****ing amazed. Hes like **** he gets everywhere. Id bet my house hell be at both the December and February events un less 1. One or both are cancelled 2. Hes in hospital, prison, or God forbid not alive.
The fact that AJ and wilder are on the same bill means they will fight each other next. No re matches
This content is protected Wallin seems like he has no confidence after the face-off. Great to see Joshua so pumped up. A win over Wallin would send out a statement to the heavyweight division. If he stops Wallin, that would send shockwaves throughout the world considering a lot of people have backed Wallin to give Joshua trouble especially since he is a southpaw. I reckon Joshua doesn't fight Wilder next though and fights Hrgovic for the vacant IBF World Title instead. Let's see what happens. On another note, anyone know why Bakole isn't on the card. Wasn't he supposed to fight Hrgovic?
Welcome back. Don't disagree on AJ, stopping Wallin would be a very good result. I don't think he'd spark the guy out, but out on his feet in the late rounds is possible. As much as it'd be a shame, the talk of Wilder seems like a smokescreen to set up Hrgovic otherwise there was no sense fighting Wallin under IBF sanction this time round. Hrgovic taking a light touch shows you exactly what he's planning.
Thank you. I don't see Joshua stopping Wallin because Wallin is a very defensive fighter. I reckon the fight may be a snooze-fest to be honest. Agree with your point regarding Joshua fighting Hrgovic next, although the Saudi money may be too high to turn down. To be fair Hrgovic is probably the best heavyweight outside the "big 4" and is a young fighter in his prime, but we would all rather see Joshua vs Wilder. Hearn is probably seeing Joshua vs Hrgovic as a way of bringing something to the table for Fury vs Joshua. Remember that's a much bigger fight than Joshua vs Wilder. Even if Fury loses to Usyk, it's the biggest fight in the sport, and if Joshua is world champion at that point unlike Fury, he has more credit at the table for negotiations. Seen a lot of people praising the undercard but I think it's pretty poor to be honest in terms of competitive fights. Saying that though I said the same thing about the Queensberry show last weekend and I was totally wrong. Lyndon Arthur can't even walk properly and Ellis Zorro probably wouldn't beat our British level guys in Isaac Chamberlain and Cheavon Clarke. Let's not talk about Mark De Mori, and Junior Fa got KOd by Lucas Browne.
Hearn is playing percentages. I've no doubt if Hrgovic came out of the next 6 months as champion in AJ and Fury's place, Hearn will be promoting both AJ and Hrgovic by that point. As his old man used to say, "always leave yourself options".
