Let's see how realistic the fight is if one of them loses That Saudi pay day might not be as big Your overthinking it, it's been 7 years or so Just do it now or not at all
I wouldn’t say there’s one fight where I would say that’s him at his best, but he sometimes looks a good boxer for periods in fights and then switches off. I don’t rate him that highly, but he would still go down as the first or second best win on Wilders record, even the faded version of Parker, so I don’t see it as a routine win for him.
It wouldn't be a good fight to watch. Wallin is feather fisted, defensive and not aggressive, and Joshua has bad PTSD from the Ruiz 1 and Klitschko fights, he fights like a gun shy scared to death coward these days. That is Anthony Joshua now. I reckon Wallin wins on points in a boring amateur style fight, but no way would he get the decision on a Matchroom show
@DramaShow and Please do us all a favour, and move permanently to a Cricket forum to talk about your beloved boring unathletic cricket (instead of boxing) Carry on the way you're going and you'll be the only person left on this british boxing forum talking to yourself.
This content is protected Seems too good to be true. How come they are scrambling to make this card 6 weeks from the proposed date. Seems a bit suspicious.
Wonder if the Saudi's have seen a gap, most of the these boxers haven't really had a big fight payday this year and it's near the end of the year and some of them are maybe lowering their rates to still something stupid but just slightly
If Eddie was the mastermind behind this we'd have 200 pages of how much of a genius he is Frank and Bob doing it and your sceptical.
I don't know who is doing it as it seems quite confusing. I get hate on here because apparently I always talk about promoters but again it's another user who has quoted me doing that for some reason. Interested to see who is on the undercard. Since you mentioned it though, I am a bit confused to why Warren is apparently leading the negotiations, considering he will only have Dubois on the undercard from the rumours we have heard. I guess Warren has a great relationship with this new Saudi Sheikh after Fury vs Ngannou and also Paul vs Fury. Hopefully the card goes ahead but I have my doubts. They will have to do a deal with DAZN so they are happy.
If you think about it in terms of reputation and levels at the time, Joshua. If it hadn't been for the referee constantly separating them when Parker got in close, the points decision would have been a lot more narrow than 118-110 or so. He certainly didn't disgrace himself in there and the KO-reel era Joshua never looked anywhere near finishing it early.
'apparently' You literally 100% non stop talk about Eddie Hearn/Matchroom/DAZN. It's all you talk about. Whilst being very sensitive to any criticism of them. And belittling what other promoters do just to boost Hearn.
DAZN had rights for much of the world on Fury-Ngannou - a mix of PPV rates and subscription coverage where PPV would not sell. Have to give DAZN some credit for actually advertising TNT and ESPN+ on their own platform, for countries they didn't have rights. Good customer service (which is a rarity for them). But it showed a good relationship with the Sheikh. Nobody should really complain when rival promoters end up on the same card, Saudi money trumps all the YouTube banter all day long. Intrigued to see the full card as you say, I don't really care who represents who and clearly the Sheikh doesn't either.
This seems like a deal where everybody comes out a winner; Assuming it’s TNT/Frank for UK; They get Anthony Joshua & Wilder etc on there platform and an event that will generate serious sales. They also get the Saudis to pay the bill for Dubois and Yarde if he makes it on. More importantly for Dubois, is how would they be able to bring him back after the quit job and the money he is guaranteed in his contract…again, getting the Saudis to pay is a result. Also after Fury fcuked up the intended Usyk fight for that night, if they have been able to work in some kind of collab with Hearn to a certain extent, it keeps them in good standing with the Saudis. Eddie/DAZN: Assuming they get rest of the world (and maybe even US) they get Wilder etc on the platform, which sets up the potential AJ v Wilder for which they will no doubt control all broadcasting rights as part of the deal. DAZN also don’t have to put on AJ v Wallin/Kabayel in the UK as those events don’t really work anymore financially, so letting the Saudis pay is a result.
